Anyone been to Oman for honeymoon?

My F1 spend part of his childhood in Saudi Arabia and has always wanted to go back and visit. I pointed out that Saudi is probably not an option and I think Dubai will be too busy/touristy so I came upon the idea of Oman, which I hope has the luxury but is more traditional. Has anyone been and what was it like?

I haven''t been but we saw a lovely hotel on the Hayes and Jarvis website. It scores 4.5 out of 5 on trip advisor too.

Thanks Maisie that looks incredible - I think I am sold on the idea; with a week there and a week in the Seychelles. By the way I love your idea of going to NY - it sounds incredible. I am finding this whole choosing a honeymoon thing really hard as we always go on holiday in the UK because of cost and the fact we have three dogs. It is really important that we find something really memorable and special. I guess it is the same for you with your children

We definitely want something memorable. Its so important to us to have happy memories attached to our vow renewal. We won''t be taking the kids though, my sister will come and look after them, which is fab!

Where will you stay in the Seychelles? It looks so beautiful there!!

We haven''t decided as yet. I think a we are going to pay a visit to trailfinders and see what is on offer. I am getting so excited about the honeymoon - more than the wedding at the moment. It is also keeping me motivated to keep on with the ''healthy eating and exercise plan''

I''m still waiting for the motivation to hit, but I think because the holiday is about a year and a half away, its not hitting yet! We are taking the kids to Tunisia in October this year and I am hoping to at least lose a bit before that!!
