Hi all, how is everyone?? Doing well here. I am beginning to work on a RHR and I am thinking of using my Great Grandmothers 1/2 ct diamond set with pear shape pink saphire side stones. Wondering if anyone has seen this done or if anyone might have a link or pic of something like this. Do you all think it would look ok?? I really want a RHR, and really want to incorporate this diamond with pink! If anyone has any other ideas please share. Thank you all.

i don''t have a pic and a quick look through the colored stone eye candy thread didn''t show anything, but i think that would look great! i love the color of pink sapphires, especially with diamonds!

I think that would be a fabulous look for a RHR. It would look likemy ring,but with pink pears,how delicious!!!!

Wow you guys are awesome!! Love that Leon ofcourse!! That gives me a perfect idea of what it would look like. What do you all think, what would you do with a 1/2 ct diamond for a RHR?? Do you think if I did this design it would look too "small" or costume jewelery like? I don''t think it would but gosh would I need small pears to work with a half ct. How do I figure what size I will need??
Kaleigh, thanks for asking! I am doing well, had a few weeks of nasuea but that seems to be ending, I think it was from my vitamins, but I am now in my 2nd trimester so all is well. I have and ultrasound on Thursday, might find out the sex but that is up to DH!!! The baby is kicking me already!!!

How about long pears as wide as the diamond (or nearly) set in a continuous bezel (like the done ring posted by Tonysgeko) with one row of diamond pave around them ? The stones would make a wide ring set like that.

You know Valeria I was definately thinking bezel for this. I have always liked the look of bezel settings and I think they work great for a RHR. I also really like the idea of using side stones as wide as the center. I guess a good starting point would be to get the diamond measured!! If anyone has any other ideas feel free to share. Was thinking about doing an eternity band with marquis shape tiny pink sapphires. I have a fashion ring that alternates small round CZ and small marquis pink CZ in three rows and it is a neat look.
