Why don't you post a picture of your perfect setting?
We might be able to point you to a setting that a trusted vendor has.

Here it is

Yes I really like this also ! Thankyou ! This site is reputable?

Yes! My first engagement ring was from JA as well as many Pricescopers on here. JA is very reputable. Not sure if JA will set your stone for you but it's worth asking... I think they might. Otherwise you can buy this setting online separately

Hi @Undecided79 :)

These are just my thoughts - so discard at will!

The ring you like is, in my opinion, a difficult ring to pre-fab. The style of ring pretty much stands or falls on the delicacy of that arms that hold the center stone, and the prongs they end with. If the prongs are too heavy, they can end up overwhelming the center stone and the whole thing can look very clumpy and heavy.

To that end, and if my budget could stretch to it, I'd try to have this specific setting custom made. David Klass is the most reasonably priced jeweler I know of who could manage this setting with delicate proportions. He's often used by the folks on these boards and does a lovely job.

Failing that, I think you need a trusted site with a similar setting, which you can be sure also uses top grade melee (small stones in the shank) or you'll end up with something very lifeless looking. James Allen used good quality melee, so you'd be set with that, but I still think using David Klass or someone similar who does good delicate prong work would be your best bet; I think there's a lot of metal in the version you posted and it's not doing the center stone any favors. The melee also looks to be very unevenly set - so I think you could do the style you want in a way that was much more beautiful - especially if you're looking for a 'forever' setting.

Good luck - and I hope you get a setting you love! :)

Thankyou for all this help !

Whiteflash is a very trusted vendor. There are many PSers that own ACAs (their super ideal branded stones). They are also lovely people to work with.

I just checked this out . Wow I love it and am glad you recommend it. Have you ordered from them before

^ agree with tyty33 above. And, yes, I have purchased from WF several times, and I wholeheartedly recommend them.

FWIW I am considering the Katie pave setting for a blue sapphire I have... I love the pave split shank and the graceful swoopy scoop under the center stone!

Just curious of this Katie setting, does anyone know of the mm measurement of it. I like a thicker ring I have long fingers. I also am wondering if they have matching band

The width, size of diamond, whether it's sizeable etc is included in the information below the picture in the Jewelry Details section. It doesn't look like they list a matching band but you could email and ask them - they're very responsive to questions.

I just saw you have pugs! I have a black one ! Love them !!!!
