Help, less than a week to go and I just thought of this. What did you do with your wedding bouquet? If you preserved it, how easy is it to do this and how do you do it? Thanks.

It depends on the flowers. Some will air dry just fine, while others will turn brown and need to be preserved in silica gel, and some others don''t really dry well at all.

So, what are your flowers?

Hah, I had to ask her. It''s white roses, green roses, and baby''s breath.

I actually gave my bouquet to one of my good friends who was a nanny to her niece and nephews at the time, I thought the little girl would enjoy playing with it! She saved the ribbon it was hand tied with for me, and I have lots of great bouquet photos to remember it by.

Roses and baby''s breath generally air dry ok (just hang upside down), but the roses may turn a little brown.

Silica gel (which is actually not a gel, its more like sand) would work to preserve them and keep them looking pretty. You can buy it at Michaels or any craft store. Find a container bigger than the bouquet, put the flowers in it and pour the silica gel around it until its totally covered.

If you don''t want to keep the whole bouquet (I can''t imagine where I would keep one), you could pull out a few roses, dry them, and use them in some sort of shadow box, or save all the rose petals and make potpourri.
