Probably a tension setting but I'm concerned about those 4 corners being exposed.
Fortunately it has a 3.5% girdle for durability but still . . .

I do not want anything ornate since I'm a man.
Simplicity is my preference.
I am considering a black titanium tension setting.

Maybe like this.

Do asschers collect the colors below the girdle and send them up through the crown?

Could the experts chime in on this?

Garry just posted my stone's ASET image with white indicating leakage.


I didn't see much leakage (white).
Doesn't that mean the light coming up through the crown came from the crown since it it blue, green red, etc?
Wouldn't that reason that the 'leakage' would be visible through the top as light entering the pavilion?
So those white leakage spaces would show up black from the ring?

I had not heard stones over 2 carats should not go into tension settings.
It is 2.26.
