Aqua cab from Barry

After reading the 12k pad sapphire thread, I figured I'd post my lovely $96 aqua cab from Barry. It's 4.24 cts and measures 12x10 (calibrated - yay!). It's a light color when looking head on but when viewed from the side, the color becomes dreamy. Had some tubes (I think) as inclusions, giving it a subtle cat eye. No plans for it yet but I've wanted an aquamarine cabochon for awhile now

I just love aquas!! I wish we saw more on here. I think with the lovely color of you aqua, you could set it in either white or yellow gold.

Thanks for the aqua love, everyone! I have been thinking of aqua cabs ever since I saw this creation by ValerieKStudios on Etsy awhile ago. Has anyone used her for settings or rings?

The jeweler I bought the ring from didn't have any others. But I ordered an inexpensive silver ring with an aqua cabochon from another Etsy vendor; that vendor is in India, so it will probably take a little time for the ring to get here. I know the new ring will not have a perfect stone but hopefully it has no surprise dents and will satisfy my blue glow itch for a while. It was my birthday a couple of days ago, so I wanted to treat myself NOW. Meanwhile, you are inspiring me to keep looking for a lovely aquamarine cabochon like this one and have a ring made!
