Sitting around during this pandemic has given me PLENTY of time to search around for a nice aquamarine. Here are some I have my eyes on and would welcome expert opinions- and if you have any other suggestions, I'd love them! I don't like gems with windows and I'm looking for rich color and good cut.

Do you like them bluer or greener? No shape preference?

No shape preference, although I don't like heart, marquis, or pear for aqua. I LOVE greener, and I love the darker sky blue or santa maria color.

Would you consider going down the custom route as Jeff White picked up a few roughs from Tucson this year, as can be seen in this photo (not the two in the lower RH corner as they are Tourmalines).

I absolutely would consider that. Yes.

I recall there is no refunds on the custom cuts from Jeff?

Jerry sent me a video of the OEC aqua and I bought it! Thank you so much for suggesting it!!! It's a 10mm round and I think I am going to set it in one of these two settings in Rose gold:

Yay! I'm so glad you got it. Please share pictures one you get it.

I would only buy from a known reputable source. There’s synthetic aqua, and irradiated material which fades, on the market,

I'm so excited beyond words that you purchased the aqua. The colour and cut is divine! Do note the depth of the aqua and make sure that it's not too deep for the setting.

Very exciting! That stone is gorgeous! Would love more details on the setting once you decide. I’d like to do a similar project one day but with a light blue sapphire.

Yes! I'll probably go with one of the colored stone setting vendors- LOGR perhaps? But man, I'd love to do a Cecile Riley Camelia or flower ring with some colored stone melee in the petals!!!!
