Are these needle inclusions?

Trying to get an idea of what I'm seeing in this earring. It's mate is a super clean VS, and the pair were sold to me as such (at a suspiciously great price), but this one, is...not so clean.

I think I’d be getting it tested at local jeweler and most likely be utilizing the return policy on this one.

@Rfisher They do have a polished girdle. I know that's not common, but is that a bad sign? There is a return policy, and I was leaning strongly toward returning. Something just doesn't feel right. Sub $400 for .7ctw, H "VS".

I don’t think it’s definitive with a smooth girdle.
Id have them checked, if the needles themselves didn’t bother you for that price.

Looks something like Moissanite. I'd be concerned. Get it tested with a modern Moissanite tester device. The cheap, older, diamond testers do not identify all Moissanite.

I would return them before I would go through the hassle of having them tested. The price is way too good to be true for natural diamonds of that size and clarity.

Even moissanite doesn’t have needles, wisps, stripes, cracks, like that. At least mine doesn’t.
