ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL ?? 2005-2006

WHAT?!! Not another Denver Broncos fan anywhere to be seen?! How bout a Bills fan?! I''m from Buffalo, but for whatever reason, the Denver Broncos are just MY team. I just LOVE them. However.. my fiance will ALWAYS be a bills fan, no matter HOW bad they are, so I have to be at least a little bit of a hometown girl..

I am PPPPIIIIISSSSED that the stupid Patriots won though. They are my absolutley number one least favorite team in football, and Tom Brady is my LEAST favorite player.

Ame - Thats really cool that your brother has a football scholarship. I don''t know what UMR is though. Where is that? I''m not really up on College football. My fiance played one year of Division 3 college football. Then he got hurt

I feel so bad for him, because I know how bad he misses playing.

It is cool. He was one of several from his High School team to go on to play in college. Several guys from his HS team are on his team there as well but he and one other are the ohnly ones that get to play it seems, the others just are not big enough for their positions.
UMR is University of Missouri-Rolla. Its one of the major engineering schools in the world apparently. I knew it was major for engineering int the states but dang. Years ago it was known as Missouri School of Mines. The ratio of girls to boys is 10 boys to every 1 girl probably. That''s being generous about girls. heh. The town is a total hick town in the middle of nowhere about an hour and a half west of St. Louis on 44.

That's cool. It's astonishing how many engineers came out of that school.
All of my mom's brothers and my mom's dad went there and all are engineers of varying kinds. All of my mom's brother's wife's brothers (follow that?) went there as well. They own a firm in Chesterfield, MO and offered my brother summer internships starting next year.

Mike is majoring in Civil Engineering.

College wise: I can't believe I'm about to admit this but I used to be a HUUUUGE OSU (OHIO STATE) fan. Don't hate me, please.... I'm from Ohio and you just can't help but be a Buckeye. After the whole Maurice thing, I'm venturing out to adopt a new college team. I also like the Ducks!

Any Browns fans out there?

If you live or have lived anywhere near Cleveland you''ve probably heard of the biggest heartbreaker in Browns history: the 1980 playoff game against the Broncos where the Browns were this close (thumb and forefinger held close together) to going to the Super Bowl when the infamous play, "Red Right 88" was called.

Denise, I got to talk to CHARLIE WATERS on the phone back in April. I was so excited that I thought I was going to pass out. He is a sweetie and he has always been my favorite Cowboy ever. Two weeks after I spoke to him, my sister sent me the autographed 8x10 photo he wanted to pass along to me. I cannot tell you what a thrill that was!!!

That had to be my best birthday ever.

As for college football, I have been and always will be an OSU Beaver fan. My dad''s family is from Oregon and my grandparents live like 1 mile from OSU campus. I would''ve gone there for med school, but I didn''t like the idea of living with my grandparents and my mom didn''t want me to go so far away, although it would be rent-free.

I was crushed because the Packers were taken off TV.... but later on ESPN when I saw the score it turned out to be a good thing! 17-3..
