Yes, it's because enough time has passed where I've already collected some things I always dreamed of owning such as a beautiful ring with a 1 carat diamond (GIA F VS1 beautiful cut), or the right pink tourmaline ring or perfect vintage jade necklace, sapphire ring, etc. I look at it as collecting specimens, and when I end up with pieces I love which I wear over and over, I feel satiated and end up buying fewer things as time marches on. I still do not own a dreamy ruby ring or some other things I want, so I still look for some things, so vendors please do not despair.

Yes, missy, it always kills me too when I go to a great antique jewelry show and get lusty for beefy rings which are way beyond my budget. I comfort myself when I study the items in the glass cases and realize the cut or clarity is not up to snuff due to my champagne tastes.
