Aroma gems

These are pretty unusual! The artist sculpts gems with tiny holes, that hold a miniscule amount of scent. I am told that because the hole is so small and there is so little fragrance, the smell is quite subtle. And it won''t drip out, even if it is turned upside down!

Chrono - you can refill it with a drop of essential oil on a dropper (capillatiry pulls it in).

Kribbie - from what I read on the site, I don''t think it will work with perfume, because of the different properties (if it isn''t the right viscousity, it might not go in or it may drip out). It was interesting reading, about the research on the perfect diameter hole to work with the oils. It seems that different gem materials need different sizes.

Thats a very interesting concept. though I can see someone who''s a perfume freak not exactly being happy they can''t change it whenever they want. (I think its pretty neat it dosen''t spill if inverted!)

I wonder though if the oil does any damage to the stone long term?
