Can anyone give me some personal feedback about the Asha Asscher stone? I am interested in buying one in the Cartier setting, with a 5ct center. Does anyone have pictures? The stone is supposed to be about 10mm, and I am concerned that it would be too large and unbelieveable on my hand. I make a very good income, and my current ring is 3.25cts RB so I think I can carry it off. Any feedback? Thanks!!

The company that sells Ashas has their own website and discussion boards. You might want to visit them and ask.

5ct is a HUGE rock.

They are not trillions... believe or not... they are something i''ve never heard off. I sure learn something new everyday!!

With a unique center diamond you need something special for the side stones. We located a pair of step-cut "calf head" diamonds. A "calf head" is a rarer shape of side diamond that resembles a triangle with the corners clipped - somewhat resembling a calf''s head.

Oh wow. Since you said that I can see it clearly now. I like it

I like it too!! at first i thought it was a "kite" cut. but who knew there is something out there called "calf head".

Definitely visit www.betterthandiamond.com and click to visit the Message Boards. I know that one woman on the boards has a 5 ct Asha Asscher in the Better Than Diamond Cartier Repro setting. It''s lovely! I tried, but was unable to upload one of the beautiful pics she took - someone on the BTD board will be able to direct you to the right thread.

Good luck!

The asha will look like a flawless, colorless diamond to the normal person. A 5ct, flawless, colorless, unique cut diamond isn''t something that one see''s everyday so expect to get some questions if you try to pull it off as real. A 10mm stone is LARGE... but a 3.25 is pretty big so if you are comfortable, go ahead and get it! Worst case you can return it. I''m sure it would be beautiful!
