Hi everyone! I haven''t posted on here lately, but as of Friday we''ll be 2 months away from our wedding day!!!

To recap, we are getting married in Maui and hired a wedding planner (thank god, it''s made our lives sooooooo easy). I''ve been going back and forth w/ choices through the wedding planner and we finally selected everything last weekend and have our final quote

Flowers are picked out, musician picked, chairs selected (white wood) for our grass/beach ceremony, lei''s selected, wedding cake, photog, video, and just about everything else. (wedding favors picked out but haven''t ordered them yet)

Oh and Fi''s ring came in last week from Signed Pieces! love it! And a few weeks ago I found a great dress for the rehearsal dinner. I''m going to post pics of that. Some may remember the way too tight cream bebe one (thank you to all that said to send it back). I love this new dress! And it''s so comfy. It''s by Tibi and I got it at Neiman''s.

We haven''t figured out the menu yet. We are having our reception at a beach front restaurant (Mediterranean fusion) place and they change their menu pretty frequently so they said at about 6 weeks out we can finalize it. I do know: it will be a sit down, 1 appetizer, 1 salad, 3 entrees to choose from (fresh Hawaiian seafood, Filet Mignon, chicken) and then wedding cake. I''m not worried about the details though, this place is sooooooo good

We do still need to buy gifts for the bm''s and gm''s. I have no idea what to do there yet. We have (4) total to buy for and our budget is $150/person so any ideas are much appreciated!

For accessorizing my rehearsal dinner dress, I was thinking some big yellow gold hope earrings and my e-ring but that''s all. I don''t normally wear YG but this dress has goldish flecks and my shoes are champagne metallic.

What do you think?

How the heck are you?

Wow...2 months out, huh? Where has all the time gone?

I am at less than 5 months out for my Maui wedding and I have been a little stressed out about getting everything done in time. I am so glad to hear things are coming together for you...hopefully mine will in the next few months, as well!

First of all, the shoes are to die for! I love them...didn't you post them before when we were talking about your getting married in Maui? (Aren't our guys' shirts similar colors or am I losing my mind???) I really like that you get to wear them twice in two days...woo hoo!

I think the dress is lovely, too...it looks fresh and fun and I adore the vibrant colors...it'll be great for a rehearsal dinner and it's fantasic on you!

ETA: Oops...missed the jewelry part! I think what you chose sounds great!

Hi Harleigh! I know, I can''t believe how fast it''s flown by. The planning has really been coming together over the last month. For a while there I was a little nervous about the wedding planner because she was kinda hard to get in touch w/. But I think that''s because we were a little too far out from the wedding date. The last month she has been awesome!

And yes I''ve posted about my shoes before

My fi and his groomsmen are wearing celedon green shirts and our 2 fathers are wearing cream Tommy Bahama shirts. Thanks Harleigh!

Thanks GTN, I found FI''s ring first and when I showed it to him, he really loved it. I was a little surprised that he went for diamonds, but he''s super happy and I love that he will have bling too!

Hi Gwyn, I have. When my FI bought my engagement ring (I helped him pick it out) he went ahead and bought the bands too (one thin pave to match, on each side). I''ve posted some pics on here of the set before.

I found the bouquet pic on the knot. It has cymbidium orchids (celedon green colored), white mini calla lilies, light green hydrangea, and white''ish-peach''ish roses (I''m taking the roses out) and putting white peonies in.

When is your wedding? If it''s a while out, I''ll make sure to post a bunch of pics of my bouquet after the wedding. Thanks for the compliments!

Phew a_g! Good to know I''m not completely nuts! I thought I remembered us discussing the guys shirts...I remember your cute little kitty in the picture by your shoes, too! My guys'' shirts are celery green and my FI is wearing a matching cream one. Our dad''s will also wear the celery color shirts.

That''s too funny...I have the same bouquet picture from the knot...I didn''t like the roses in it either, but I had no idea what to replace them with...I was thinking more orchids, but I''ll have to see how your peonies look after your wedding. I really wish the florist would let me know what flowers are most available in Maui in July, but I haven''t had much communication w/the planner so far and none with the florist as of yet...guess I should try again.

I think you''re right that the planner feels we are too far out for some of these decisions, but then they want other ones like they needed it yesterday...it can be really frustrating, but I''m hoping that when it gets closer they really step up as it sounds yours has.

Funny thing is, we were told we did not need to have a rehearsal, and that makes me really nervous because some of our attendants have never been in a wedding, so I am concerned that it could be a disaster, but they do claim they know what they''re doing!

About my bouquet, my WP said that peonies aren''t typically available in HI until Mothers day but she will try to order them (she''s actually a florist too and does an awesmoe job). If she can''t get the peonies then she''s going to use white ranunculus (I had to google that flower

)

About the rehearsal, mine said that if we wanted to we could have one. I''ve only been in one wedding so I would like to have the rehearsal. Plus, I''d like to know where I need to walk from, etc. I don''t think I''ll be wearing this dress to the actual rehearsal though, probably just a bikini, hehe. The rehearsal is at 1:30 pm then our rehearsal dinner isn''t until 5:30. I figured the rehearsal would only last 10 minutes so I''m just going to gather up everyone from the pool anyway.

Now that the ball is really rolling, I''m getting so excited. I can''t believe we are only 2 months away!

How are weedding plans coming for you?

Are you 2 staying on Maui for the whole trip? We first thought we''d do that but now we are going to Maui for 7 days then Kauai for 4 days (and still come home and have 4 days to relax and get back into it, and spend time with our kitties of course!)
