I am about to take the plunge on an engagement ring and am racked by the usual uncertainty (about the ring, not the girl).
She likes round brilliant cut diamonds in a yellow gold setting. I really like the De Beers "Aura" solitaire ring style, but it only comes in white gold/platinum.
I have found a jeweller who has offered to make the aura style setting with a yellow gold band and platinum head. Despite trawling the internet, I have not been able to find a picture of how this might look. I am not a fan of the "Halo" style ring in full yellow gold but I am hoping this design will be a compromise.
I am interested in the communities thoughts on the Aura style and the 2-tone setting that I am thinking of having made? Do you think the diamond (1ct, E, SI1) will still be presented well?
