Was just wondering if any of you girls from melbourne could recommend a photographer/videographer?
Our potential wedding date is 01-10-11 at this stage (sooo far away

) but Im trying to get a feel of whats good out there and what the approximate prices are so I can start saving! We''re both poor uni students at the moment.
It would really help!

thanks dee. Im a bit silly. I think you listed your wedding date in a previous post as 12/07/09 and i obviously just assumed your were listing the american way with the month first (cos july this year was obviously over).
I didn't even think to check the BIW list. My apologies, oh and lol im dying here in qld already and its only october. Thanks for adding gls date for me too, I wasn't sure what she had planned.

gls - i dont' have platinum i have wg, but if money wasnt an object than it would def be platinum. With us we had a set budget in mind and to still have the size stone we wanted (around 1/2 a carrat) and to have platinum would have put us around 1K over budget

I'm not sure about the rest of the aussie girls? Maybe they will have better advice??

Also congrats on setting a tenative date!

Also a huge congrats to oz - can't wait to hear about your day and see some pics ...

I''m sure that the white gold will be ok but I have been hearing about the yellowing and the replating that goes along with it and wondering the cost that will be involved with that.
At the moment i pretty much just wear the ring when I go out, I dont really wear it around the house as I''m mostly on the computer writing assignments (it gets distacting

)
My decision for now is that I keep the ering wg (change over the setting in a few years or never) and buy a plat wedding band as it will be on my right hand anyway (orthodox) the ering will stay on my left hand. My FI is against "upgrading" erings but I might convince him I need a ring to go with my wedding band on my right hand

WG will serve you just fine. I wear my e-ring to the classes (yoga and body attack) and to the office. Everyone is telling me that my e-ring looks brand new and shiny!!

Gls, my ering is wg, but i also have a platinum wedding band that i wear as a right hand ''friendship'' ring. (long story). I much prefer the white gold to the platinum. The platinum has far more dents in it than the white gold and they both look exactly the same, i can''t tell the difference between the two metals. The platinum ring is ALOT heavier too, maybe that''s the reason that i am alawys smacking it into stuff and damaging it. I am also finding the platinum ring is irritating my skin. Platinum is so much expensive than wg at the moment and i just don''t understand why!

We''re having a church wedding in Neutral Bay, and a marquee reception at my parent''s place in Dural.

Our marquee is gorgeous, with wooden floor boards, chandeliers, silk lining etc - Marquee from White Umbrella in Double Bay.

My dress is being made, I pick it up next week, and it is a copy of a Jim Hjelm design which I completely fell in love with!

We are staying at the Hilton on our first 2 nights, then fly out to our honeymoon in NYC, Paris and London! Yay for frequent flyer points!

I can''t wait to post some pro-pics on here very very soon!

Hey ladies! You might have seen my wedding pics thread, and thanks to all of you who had a look and sent such lovely messages. I can say I had the most wonderful day and honeymoon!! Unfortunately I have to go back to work this wednesday. I can definately say that all of your planning and organising for your big days will be worth it girls! Being married is fabulous and the comittment adds another dimension to your realstionship.

Honey Here are some pics I took for you of your Ceremony site which is right next door to the resort we stayed at in Palm Cove for our honeymoon... just stunning

It is literally right on the beach and with those water views you are going to have AMAZING pictures!! I cant wait to see them... soooo close now! Are you honeymooning in Palm Cove too?
