Authentic Cartier Love ring?

I am not familiar with a lot of the older markings. The photos don't show the Italian factory cartouche well. They don't look like cheap fakes. They may be real, but I'm not sure.

I also have another photo that might be useful @m51galaxy

It looks like it may be * 1 TO , which is a valid factory in Italy, it probably is real, but, I'm still not sure about the older pieces.

Hi. This hallmark looks questionable to me. Can someone please help determine? The seller says it is authentic but that’s what they all say.8D06D046-71E1-4FAA-84C1-6212FB070072.jpeg

Hello, I am wondering if this Cartier Love Wedding Band is real? I asked the seller for better pictures of the inside of the ring but he hasn’t gotten back to me yet.

Authentic or nah?

Looking at purchasing this ring, it seems fake to me, especially with the "love" on the edge. Could someone confirm? 20210206_211415.jpg20210206_211436.jpg20210206_211454.jpg

Can anyone authenticate this please? I just purchased from a seller in a Cartier facebook group. I don’t think it’s a fake, but I just want to make sure. I’ve never seen dB engraved inside the love rings before, but I’m relatively new to Cartier.4645F780-9DEB-4EFD-AF35-3072B96B41EF.jpeg

Looks legit. db happens in these rings, it is not an issue.

Hi I just purchased resale but idk if this is real can someone confirm? There’s a weird marking I’m unsure about. Well, yours is the original one!!
As long as there is no 52833A serial number, and there is the AU before 750, then you r good. the AU represents that the ring was made from gold. Overall yours is authentic

Sorry to say It's a mistake to think that a different serial number plus Au before the 750 means the ring is unquestionably authentic. There are plenty of fakes that have a different serial number -- i.e., not 52833A -- etched inside. Conversely, Cartier itself has not always put Au before the 750 in its Love pieces.

So you think it’s not an authentic piece?

Could someone also help me figure out if this is authentic please? No LOVE engraving on the sideIMG_4735.jpg

My brother gave me this ring for my birthday. I’m not able to find clear descriptions online to let me know if this is authentic. Has Cartier Logo, 750 52 and then below has a copy right logo, CRD 083750 then a diamond shape with what looks to be a U, O or C in the middle. including the clearest pictures that i can. It does not look real to me.

Hey guys, just bought this ring today from Maxcroft Securities (a pawnbrokers in Ilford, Essex). They’ve advertised it as fully authentic, they’re a 4 hour drive from me so I called before hand to check everything was legit which they promised me it was…

Agreed a price, tried it on and thought it looks great at first. Asked to see it through a loupe which he happily said yes to, my first and main thought was the screws looked a bit damaged and the white gold circle that should surround the screws are all a bit misshapen. Not a solid shape the whole way round, thin at the top thick at the bottom etc. The lines in the screws on a couple aren’t dead straight or in even bang in the middle. I pointed all these things out and he mentioned someone at some point must’ve thought the screws were removable and attacked them with a screwdriver. Then mentioned Cartier quality isn’t as good as I think and actually they’re a bit poor when you magnify everything…

Anyway, I’d driven for way too long and it seemed a genuine shop and felt good to the touch and I said if it’s fake I’m coming right back, at first he said no problem. Once it was all paid for he then said “of course I can’t 100% give you a guarantee it’s genuine but from our point of view it is.” Then said “ of course it’s sold as seen”.

o now I’m worried. The engraving on the inside under the Loupe seems a little slack from Cartier, I’ve owned and still own a few Cartier watches and the quality of engraving on those is spot on.
does this all seem right to you? Hopefully someone can help give me peace of mind!

Many thanks

Also another thing to add to the above post, they said to me over the phone that “the ring has just been re-plated in rhodium so it looks great”…I did ask why they did this and she said to me “as you know there is no such thing as white gold it’s just yellow gold rhodium plated”….surely that can’t be right, I know white gold is yellow gold with other metals added to make it white/silver but that still makes it a solid metal, they don’t plate yellow gold rings in rhodium, surely?!

The screws are the main thing throwing me off as the diamonds looks really good and glisten like crazy in the light, all looks really good apart from the screws!

Any help is greatly appreciated

To all folks looking for authentication from this thread:

This is NOT a service that PS offers or endorses in ANY capacity. All opinions - of authenticity and of inauthenticity - are coming from end consumers with variable credentials and no active trade connections.

Do NOT take reassurance that a piece is authentic as fact. The only way to be certain is to get paperwork from Cartier. There are also other forums on the internet (which we cannot link to here) that proxy authentication services.

Hi, I appreciate your response. I think it’s helpful to have other people’s opinions regardless whether they’re authenticated professionals in the trade. If there’s someone here who has owned multiple love rings and has a good idea if one is real or not, it’s helpful to know. Not saying I want a certificate in the post stamped and sealed but I thought this was a forum to be able to discuss jewellery with fellow members. Paying for a authentic certification is different to asking for an opinion from someone who has experience with pieces of jewellery like this. If I’m in the wrong place and have misread this whole thread then my apologies! I’ll take my questions elsewhere. :)

Nope! That’s perfectly fine! Just wanted to make extra clear to everyone who uses this thread that none of the answers are actual guarantees of anything ::)

Hi I need a legit check if anyone is available. Just looking for some expert opinions not guarantees. I bought this ring off of a Japanese Ebay seller who had over 900+ positive reviews. They have a physical store in Japan as well. The ring is size 7/JP size 54, it is the 18k white gold 5.5 mm width Love ring. The item is 23 year old according to the certificate that it comes with (bought in 1998). Let me know if you need more info.
