That was the first piece someone inquired about! But I'd rather you buy it so I know it's going to a good home. :) I truly love this ring. I just tend to collect larger stones at this point.

Whoops... forgot this guy. I have a relatively new sapphire from Inken, so I must let this one go. I've only had it a year or two. GIA certified untreated Sri Lankan oval blue sapphire. It weighs 2.29ct. Nice cut... zero windowing... completely eye clean. I bought it from The Natural Sapphire Company for way more than I'm asking (wince). It measures 8.38 x 6.62 x 5.10mm. It's a medium-dark tone with vivid saturation. Comes with GIA cert, of course, and also all of the NSC paperwork (an entire folder full... they don't play). :D $7,500

Even tho my OMC purchase feels like FOREVER ago…I’m still on ban island for bigger purchases!

If only! My current budget could just about cover heated, pinkish and definitely silky. But I believe it will go to a good home nonetheless. No one buys such a ruby to just cast it aside and never wear it again. :rolleyes:

How is this even possible? They are all so spectacular! Just the thrill of the creative process and owning something beautiful?

Before my spouse was comfortable wearing any nice jewelry, she wanted to just keep it out in a box to admire.

Shhh don't tell anyone, as it's (understandably) a sacrilege here, but I never wear any of my fine jewelry out of the house.

I wear my sterling/boho/hippy jewels piled on and layered up pretty much everyday. Yep, I put the bling on, admire it for a bit, and back in the box it goes. I'm really just a collector who happens to love gems. I set them because that's what really makes them shine. Wearing the pieces out doesn't give me the pleasure it gives others. In short, I'm an strange sort (who rhymes).

I love collecting stones but only set them so I can admire them them out of the house :think:

I think you’d have to physically fight me to keep me from going out on the town in all that splendor. :lol: I‘m always so eager to set my gems so I can finally wear them as they deserve. Sure,they distract me while driving, at work, while grocery shopping, while out on a date with my DH, etc…but it’s totally worth it. Lol. I hope your new fleet of beauties inspires you to do the same.:kiss2:

That's exactly how you should feel, and I envy you for it! I have been inspired by some of my new jewels (but mostly all of you), so I hope that changes too! Nope, Mr. Paraiba hasn't yet moved from his lovely DK box. :roll:
