Back from Calgaria. I squeezed in a visit to Birks which had this FABULOUS pink tourmaline and diamond necklace. It was an estate piece and really magnificent. Nice friendly shop lady too. In fact, almost everyone I met up there was super friendly and easy going.
My hosts took me up to Canmore in the mountains which was stunning. Yup. Nice mountains you got up there for sure.
And the other great pleasure was a fantastic meal at an Ethiopian restaurant called ''Queen of Sheba'' on 12th St. near the Arts Hotel. The food was delicious, but the homey atmosphere and lovely friendly owners really made the evening. Highly recommended for any of you Calgarians who haven''t tried it yet.
I also ate at ''Wildwood'' which I found to be a little overpriced and kind of mediocre (my risotto was cold, my fish unexciting).
