Back from Detroit with light at the end of the tunnel

Hi Ladies

I thought I would give a little update of my weekend in Detroit....

We went for a wedding and it was a lot of fun. The bride and groom were lovely and the church they got married in was amazing!! No decorations needed for this church...the history alone made the ceremony just beautiful! The reception was a ton of fun. Everyone danced all night. The couple flew in their favorite DJ from Denver who used to DJ at various clubs downtown, and he did awesome...He kept everyone entertained all night. It was definitely a wedding full of happy tears

It was cool to see 2 families from different parts of the country coming together and having so much fun. The couple did a wonderful job planning!

SO and I had several conversations about our wedding while we were there...I love when he brings up "our wedding"...it always puts a huge smile on my face. I finally got a TIMELINE!!!! I''ve never had a timeline and I have one now

He told me he''s going to propose before the end of the year...which we''re almost into October so that doesn’t leave me waiting for too much longer!!! YAY!! Just thinking about it makes me so happy....Anyway he wants me to narrow down my choices for a ring...and he wants me to write down specs that I would love to see in a center stone...So after I do this I''m completely out of the rest of the process until the proposal...The only hard thing is that I''m going to have to narrow down my dream rings in one dream ring!! But the sooner I can do it the sooner he can get to buying it and the sooner I can be engaged!!! So I''m off to do some real intense research!!

Sorry for the long post...I''m just super excited and I knew you ladies would understand!!

WOW!

You go from no timeline to in 3 months or less?! That is crazy! So exciting!!!

Glad that you had a good time in Detroit. The weather was pretty nice all weekend, you got lucky!!

congrats on a great update!!! So now we have to figure out when hahaha. So many holidays to choose from, so many great times... do you have any special plans or dates coming up besides : Halloween, Thanks Giving, first day of fall (today), Christmas, Christmas Eve and Newyears?

Elle: It is crazy huh!! I think that he always had a timeline, but he just didn''t want me to know b/c he wanted it to be more of a suprise...I think a lot of people at the wedding were asking he when he was going to propose and he was probably telling them and then realized that some of them might tell me...so he decided to just spill the beans (kinda) and tell me his timeline. Which I''m glad he did...but now I''ve started a count down to the end of the year...and I''m pretty sure it''s going to consume me

The weather was great!!! It''s more humid there them I''m used to but I actually started to really like it...It''s wonderful on my skin and hair

Drangonfly: Our anniversary is coming up at the begining/middle of Oct. but I think it''s just going to be too soon to expect a proposal then. It doesn''t seem realist to me to be able to pick out a setting and diamond and get it shipped (if he orders online) and sized by then...maybe I''m wrong. We''re also going to Vegas at the end of Oct for the PBR finals and I guess Halloween too...A vegas proposal would be...umm....different...not something I can see him doing, but if he did I''d definitely be suprised.
