Love the reset! Very classic setting! And that band is so blingy!!
 
As you know from the old thread, I love the new setting 1,000,000,000 times more than the first one! This one is classy and perfect for the diamond! And the asscher band is gorgeous with it! :love: :love: :love: :appl: :appl: :appl:

I love your new birthday pieces! You got a lot of things for one occasion! And the best part is that WF has an upgrade policy! :bigsmile: ;))
 
I agree with the other posters your center diamond looks even more larger in the new setting! You couldn't have chosen a more classic, tineless,chic setting, wonderful choice!!! The asscher band :appl: is spectacular as are all the other yummies!!!
 
I have followed your original post about your reset and let me tell you I am blown away by how gorgeous your new setting is. Classic and fabulous with those double prongs. Love the asscher band, too. Congrats!
 
the reset is gorgeous - it's so elegant and i think it makes the centre stone look larger than the previous setting. beautiful!

I will post replies to everyone, but for now, I thought I would post my birthday cake for fun! :praise: :praise:

I had a three tiered cake custom made by a local jeweler and topped with an edible tiara (BTW, I actually wore a real tiara and it was so much fun! Little girls were coming up to me all day saying how much they liked my *crown*, asked if I was in a Pageant and I was even asked if I was “Miss America,” :o Wow! It was so much fun being a Princess!!! :appl: :appl:

Ok, back to the yummy cake! :bigsmile: Each tier was double layered and had a different flavored cake. The bottom cake was yellow filled with chocolate Bavarian crème filling and topped with butter-cream chocolate icing, the second tier was yellow cake filled with vanilla butter-cream and topped with vanilla butter-cream vanilla icing and the top tier was marble cake filled with and topped with vanilla butter cream vanilla icing. Instead of it reading "Happy Birthday," it said "Live," "Love" (in red) and "Laugh" - what I live by!! - on the top tier. It was yummilious!!! :lickout: :lickout: :lickout: :lickout: :lickout:

Each tier was then wrapped with a different decorative ribbon and then *sprinkled* with Swarovski crystals. It was a spectacular!

Wow that is some birthday! What a cake! My goodness it all sounds fabulous! You have a beautiful collection. I love your new reset, it is perfect. I remember looking at settings like your first and I kinda liked them too. It must have had quite a punch on your hand. I love the simpler modified setting even more. Hello Radiant Beauty, I am new so perhaps shouldn't respond BUT I will.. :) I have never been a radiant or cushion cut fan.. too many angles.. UNTIL I SAW YOUR RESET!!! God that is gorgeous. .your ring went from Bling to ZING!!!! I would consider a radiant cut (if I had the money.. and am interested in meeting your guy ;-) truthfully the first setting was bling bling bling.. this new setting is ZING ZING class... gorgeous.. love everything about your reset.. and bday gifts all one can say is WOW.. Radiant on my life!

Mjg – Thank you! I believe the stats on the second band was estimated between 2-3 ctw F/G VS clarity. If I recall correctly, the y are between 10-15 pointers.

When I picked out this setting, I thought I should select a setting that I would never tire of – especially not knowing when I would upgrade. I thought this was perfect. And I do think this style of setting is such an elegant piece.
