OK, real quick as my FI is out getting us sandwiches.

He came home and we talked for awhile. I didn''t bring up the guest book...

Him: So, do you like it or not?

Me: Oh yeah, thanks honey. I appreciate you going out and getting it.

Him: Well, you can exchange it if you want.

Me. Oh no, this will work. Where did you find it?

Him: At Borders. They only had two. A white one and this one. I picked this one because it will look better years from now.

Me (suppressing urge to laugh): Oh, cool. What did the white one look like?

Him: It was just white and it said Guestbook on the front.

Me (hurting from not laughing). Ah. Well thanks honey. It will be displayed with that frame.

Him: I know. That''s why I laid them out side by side.

OMG, how funny is this. He picked it because he did think it was better...so he put *some* thought into it. I''m keeping it. I''ve been giggling like mad ever since this conversation. I was cleaning the kitchen and didn''t think he could hear, but he called out ''what are you cackling about?''

This is absolutely priceless.......and I agree. I''d keep the book.

Seriously - no one will ever likely look at it again after the wedding. On the day of, some people will likely notice and say "oh, that''s different!", and others will be oblivious.

Showed visitors book to Greg.

He said. "Awesome!"

Thanks for the giggles girls...every time I read this thread, I just die!

I''m in bed today, sick as a dog and FI is off with family who flew in yesterday. But first he took care of me, went out and got me lunch, brought up tea in the morning and my medicine. He''s coming home early just to hang out with me, even though I''d rather honestly have him be with his family who he will only see once a year, if we are lucky. What a doll.

I tell you, it was VERY DIFFICULT to keep my reaction from him. That''s why I asked him to go get the sandwich...had to call my coffee spilling advisor friend and tell her what happened. So I got it out of my system and I have been able to keep a straight face (as long as I stay away from this thread when he''s around). I don''t want him to think I''m laughing at him...it''s just the difference between men and women that I find so hilarious...and it proves true time and time again, doesn''t it?

Ephemery, I am not at all disappointed anymore, but I do wonder if the address thing is strange. I may go see what a guestbook is supposed to look like just for giggles. Either way, while your plan is quite brilliant, I''ll keep it. The only possible glitch could be my cousin who is helping me by playing coordinator. I know she is going to hate it and am not sure she will be able to keep quiet about it!

I thought about the photo signing thing, but picked the guestbook because I thought I''d be easier. Ha!
