BAHAMAS FOR A HONEYMOON

We are thinking about going to the Bahamas for our Honeymoon in mid September. IF anyone has been there can they help us out on what they thought and where they stayed? Thanks!!!

I went to the bahamas a few times back in college- once for spring break and another time with my ex bf. I stayed at the Atlantis one time and the Ocean Club the second time. I would not recommend the Atlantis for your honeymoon, as it is full of children. There is an awful lot to do on property though. The Ocean Club is far more romantic and secluded. It would be very appropriate for your honeymoon. It''s owned by the Atlantis though so you can still use their ammenities. I remember there being a few all inclusives too in the area, but I don''t have any firsthand experience. There may be some new hotels in the area too since I went there. HTH.

I have gone three times, all three to the great bahama island. I was in college the first time so we stayed at a dump. the other two we stayed at great places but i of course cannot remember their names.

I would recommend one of the smaller islands though since the big island itself is alot less impressive.

We have been there twice and will be leaving for our 3rd trip on Wednesday!!!

My brother in law and sister in law live there so we stay at their place so I can''t answer ''where we have stayed''. But, we have visited Atlantis every time we have been there. It has been 2 yrs since our last visit and it has grown alot since then. there is tons to do there...Yes there are families but I don''t know why that would interfer for you. I know lots of people who have honeymooned there...I would reccomend staying on PAradise Island (where Atlantis and others are) as opposed to NAssau. there is tons more to see/do on PI and it is safer.

It is an expensive place to go so if you can do an all inclusve to sandals or something, I would do that.
