Has anyone created baskets for the ladies room? If so what types of things did you include? My mom said that it would be a nice thing to do.

I''m being a tightwad about a lot of things but I am TOTALLY doing this.

I''ve appreciated it HUGELY at every wedding I''ve been at.
Deodorant, something that isn''t a white stick.
Perfume or somekind of body spray... a light scent.
Hair brushes. And a comb.
Those makeup removal pads from ponds in case someone''s makeup or mascara runs.
And a couple of touch up things like loose face powder (just translucent that fits most peoples skin tones) and some cotton balls to apply. If you can find those disposable wands for mascara I''d do that and some mascara in black or black/brown too.
Q-tips.
Lotion.
I''m going to include a hair dryer. Last wedding we went to a waiter spilled a tray of drinks down FSIL''s back and we had to find a way to dry her gown.

Band aids and other things for foot blisters.

This is a great idea. I'm going to put it on my list of things to do. Great list Gypsy!

Thanks for the list!

Oh I forgot to add: NEOSPORIN. I carry some around me at all times. It''s invaluable. Especially the non-petrolium stuff with pain relief... if you are doing anything outdoors in summer solarcane, sunblock, and asprin/tylenol. John wants us to have an emergency medical kit, but I''m pretty sure our venue will already have one. Violet, since yours is a private residence you might want to check on that and have one ready just in case.

Thanks Gypsy, I bet we don't have a med kit. Do you have one you'd recommend we pick up?

No. John handles stuff like that. But at least one with some basic supplies would be a good idea. I''d ask around and see what people at pharmacies and such suggest. I think John saw one a while back at Costco (so I have no idea if its still there) that he liked, but we didn''t buy it.

OH ... I ALSO forgot that we are going a mens room basket as well. Those Old spice body wipes, some face wipes, deodorant, a comb, all the same sun care stuff as the women, and ... I think John wanted bandaids and stuff there too.

clear nail polish in case of pantyhose runs
tampons/pads/pantyliners
lip balm
contact lens solution
hand cream
hair elastics
hairspray
floss
Tide stain removal pen (love these...and they work SO well)

I think it''s also nice to have a basket in the men''s room. With some cologne, floss, Tide stain removal pen, a comb, and aspirin. They don''t need much, huh?

Oooohhh, I hadn't thought of a hair dryer but it makes sense. We're doing baskets too and besides the things Gyspy mentioned, we're including the following:

Immodium and/or Pepto tablets (You just never know when you may need it)
Mints and gum (these will probably be put in a separate basket than the toiletry items)
Bobby pins
Saftey pins
Maybe a mini sewing kit

I thought I had other things on my list but I can't think of what they are at the moment.

ETA: Oh yeah, Band-aids, Tylenol, maybe mouthwash (trial sizes), and maybe those travel packs of Kleenex

Gypsy, great minds think alike, and at the same time

Also, if your wedding is at night, outdoors, and in the summer...provide bug spray!
