BEAtrice my BEAutiful (and first) lab OEC

First of all a HUGE thank you to @Inked who won't see this for a while as she is away for a very happy occasion. But I want to thank her first because without her amazing skills and eye I would not have Beatrice. A ring I did not even know I wanted lol. Please skip ahead to photos if you do not want to read my long winded explanation about the ring



I rarely go to the PreLoved section on PS just because who needs that kind of temptation but one day I did and I fell in LOVE with this ring. And much to my surprise it was still available...meant to Bea!!!


I have wanted a solitaire for many years but would not reset Bubbalah because she is purrrrfect as is...her setting is super feminine and just fits my personality. But still I longed for a solitaire. I wasn't looking because I don't need any more bling (who needs bling but you know what I mean) and because of a certain condition I have I am not even supposed to wear rings. However it's a quality of life issue and I am being careful and following my surgeon's and RO's instructions so hopefully it will be OK. Anyway I saw her and fell hard. And within a little over a week she was mine.

I apologize for the photos. I have to wear a splint and glove 24/7 for the most part and cannot tolerate any temp extremes so instead of waiting til Spring I decided to do the best I can now and post what I could ((I promised inked I would and I always keep my promises).

Named after my darling grandmother and also Beatrice means "bringer of joy" and "blessings" and that is what my grandma embodied., Some of you (long timers on PS) might remember my first OEC Bea. I sold her to a dear friend who renamed her and who is enjoying her so I thought the name could be used again but this time in full name form...Beatrice. Which was my grandma's full name

It's been awkward for me to take photos and videos due to my hand limitations at the moment so again forgive me for less than great photos. When my hand treatments are over and I have fully healed and the weather is warmer I will take better photos and videos. At least I will try

Lastly I am dedicating this thread to Shelley (at bling dream)...I miss you very much. You were the sweetest and kindest person with a heart of gold. RIP Shelley. You remain in my heart forever

You would have loved Jasper so much and I know you would have been joyful at my acquiring Beatrice.

Oh and one more thing..Without @Inked taking the energy, time and labor of love this would never have been. It was her vision and we have a very similar aesthetic. More importantly is our friendship. I have much to thank PS and PSers for but nothing is more precious and valuable to me than the dear and true friends I have made here. Friends for life. A heartfelt thank you for everything K XOXO

Thank you! I think I forgot to thank David Klass! He made this stunning setting and also went above and beyond to make it happen. I’ll spare you the long story about fed ex. Suffice to say without David I wouldn’t have this ring right now. And his work is exquisite

Thank you. Southwest diamond cutters recut this from a 7 plus carat lab MRB. If you search inked threads she has an entire thread about it

So Beatrice was an I color to start before recutting so supposedly one color whiter than Bubbalah who is a GIA J. But they do look very similar and I always thought Bubbalah looked brighter than a J IMO but who knows maybe I am not color sensitive the way others are

ROFLMAO you know me well and I would say you are on point with that except for my poor fingers...I am super frustrated with my health situation regarding my hands and I just tried on the pink diamond Leibish rose gold band I have and had so much trouble getting it off







Excuse the shiny fingers...I had just moisturized as per surgeon's instructions and then decided to play with the rings LOL
You can see the rose gold isn't a bad match but darn I had so much trouble getting it off due to my stupid knuckles..it fits the finger but what good is it if I cannot get it on and off easily?

OK done with the pity party...on to happier thoughts. At least it's not going to kill me right?
