Hello ladies!

I'm engaged to my best friend! Tummy flutters.

It was the sweetest thing. My mother adores him (BIG PLUS, RIGHT?) and he asked for her permission when she was visiting me for Mother's Day. My family is the most important thing to me in the world, so it meant so much to me that she was involved!

I just look at the ring and get shivers!

Wow!

There is so much to tell! We were going to get engaged in Greece this summer, but I couldn't wait! Do you ladies blame me? The first time we were together, he proposed in a magical place in Hawaii. He set up an 8 course fully staffed meal overlooking the beach with music... to a gorgeous sunset. To this day, it was the most romantic night of my life. But we were really young, straight out of college and he was my first boyfriend. First everything! Sadly, readers, we parted to take time for ourselves. I had to find myself.

Now, a few years later we are here. Older. Wiser. And most importantly, more self aware and complete in our own rights... we met again! And this time, it's for real. This time, I asked for a very intimate proposal. And there were definitely fireworks this time -- not in the sky, but in my heart. It was with my mother present, where he told her that he would spend every day of his life trying to make me happy, protecting and loving me and honoring me. It rang of sincerity and true blue caring and adoration. And it meant the world to me! So I guess you could say I had two proposals, but this one means the world to me because my mother was there to bear witness and to bless us.

You guys have got me crying again!
