What would be the best green stone and cut for dispersion?

I''d want the green to be a hunter green, dark but not too dark, a green with no yellow.

Thanks.

Budget? Size? Wearability?

Undecided if it will be a ring or pendant.

Size - 1- 2 cts.

Budget - a few hundred, not looking to anything big.

Thanks.

Chrome diopside might fill the bill. They come in small to large sizes and in different ranges of green. They are also very affordable.

Won''t a dark body color mask a stone''s dispersion? In any case, you might try to hunt down a green zircon. I believe they have a fairly high dispersion.

Thanks Harriet. I do like that first one. That was so very nice of you to look. Not really above budget either. I love cushion (maybe a touch light though, maybe) and that is a great one. As for the pear - not into a pear (nor round) for a green stone. I'm liking cushions for a green.

Yes, I know too dark cuts the green color but I didn't mean that dark. Thanks for the reminder on that. :)

Will search on green zircon later.

You are all the best. Thanks.

Question - do stones on the computer screen tend to appear darker or lighter than they actually are?

Green Zircon will have the highest dispersion.

I have some chrome diopsides which are beautiful - they are quite fragile though.

I like the blue/green on paper but not really to own. Also, that one is not my shape. Thanks, though.

Looking more to learn, right now, than purchase.

I have a lovely RB hunter green sapphire stone that I really like.
