Best Prop Photos - Ever!

I think it would be great to include some of the best prop photos ever in one thread.... as an inspiration of ideas on what sorts of things can be used.... the one that first popped up in my mind was this guy who put his diamond in red pepper flakes... so I had to search that out and find it first...

and then one that looked like it was in his bowl of cereal?

and some in ice....

I want some more ideas... I remember someone using autumn leaves.... I think someone stuck their ring in a bowl of sugar? I know just about anything can be used as a prop, but I''d sure love a list of ideas LOL

You already posted all the ones that came to my mind. I think kenny did the sugar one. I''ll post a couple I''ve had but didn''t post. I would definitely recommend the cotton balls. Mine were taken in front of a window on a so so sunny day. I was mesmerized by all the fire shots I got, it was different. Not the power house flares I usually get, these were so "soft", and many within the stone. Hard to describe. I got rid of all but two, not sure why. I guess I was making room for others.

This first one is in a little wooden cordial like thing that sits in my china cabinet. I LOVE the colors in the stone.

I don''t get rid of anything LOL I''m a digital packrat I do love the shot in the wooden cup and the cotton - that''s a new one! Awesome! Yeah, I''m getting ready but my anniversary is still a month away LOL Don''t hold your breath!!

A while ago I tried to match gemstones with things in nature that resembled their color. Here are two efforts: Star ruby with pomegranate, and alexandrite with "colorchange grapes"

There''s actually more to this set - but I don''t have them anymore. Ryu (the kitty) got up with the ring on his paw and went straight for the litterbox. Eeeek!
