I''m not a delicate person with my hands, and I think a bezel setting will be best for my engagement ring. What my boyfriend and I have found (or not found, rather) is that bezel settings aren''t readily available in solitaire settings in stores to try on. Does anyone know of a "national" store, or at least one in NC or GA where I can try one on, hopefully with a variety of choices? Is it something that is typically ordered and not purchased already made?

Thanks so much!

I dont know how far Atlanta is from you, but Solomon Brothers carries a lot of rings. Here are a couple bezels from their website:

Hi Jen:

We had the same problem when we started looking for bezels for me to try on. I had my heart set on the Etoile solitaire from Tiffany''s but wanted to look at more options since FI was not too crazy about it. We were looking for yellow gold, which further limited our options.

Most of the stores we went to did not have any bezels to try on, except for Tiffany''s and a jeweler in Washington DC called I Gorman (website below). I Gorman had beautiful ones, all ready to try on but none in yellow gold.

When we were looking in one of the stores that didn''t have anything, we asked her if she knew of any stores that carried bezels, and she referred us to the Gorman place saying that they carried contemporary and modern designs. You may want to ask a jeweler for such a recommendation.

Good luck in your search and congratulations!

My Paul is in Atlanta! Yay! Now I''m SO excited to look up that website! Thanks muches!!

I think my Asscher will be bezel set - I''ve never once seen a bezel set step cut stone in an actual store though . . .

Sorry I couldn''t help more!
