I bought this stone last year and couldn't get motivated to set it.
But yesterday I finally had an idea.
So this is what I did with my birdseye Kingman turquoise.

Nice!!!

I know there are more valuable turq varieties out there, but this is my favorite and I don't care what anyone says! What's special about this particular type of "birdseye" is that the webbing is actually blue (with a bit of white). For that reason, it's referred to as "waterweb." Waterweb kingman, and carico lake, never fail to make me giddy. Your pendant is STUNNING!! :appl:

Wow! It's gorgeous! :kiss2:

 Another beautiful piece, I love the 'webbing?' on the stone and the beading detail.

Wow that is amazing!

(Again!)

Thank you! I don't know why I waited so long to make something with it.
Yes, @Autumn in New England ....waterweb!
I always forget to use that term.
The March Gem and Mineral show is happening later this month, and I'll be looking for more of this material!

famouse NZ cheese add from back in the day
the pendant was well worth the wait
its beautiful
perhaps imspiration had to tick over in your head for a while

Beautiful craftsmanship!!

It is so neat that you have learned to make jewelry! I love the setting - perfect! What a stunning blue stone.

Just curious, how did you learn to make jewelry?

Awesome!

Thanks everyone! Making jewelry is so much fun, and it's really satisfying when things turn out well. I love to show it to you all.
@Daisys and Diamonds Yes, I sure did drag my feet on this one!
@MMtwo A long time ago(20 years) I met a lady silversmith from Zuni Pueblo here in NM. I asked her to teach me silversmithing. She gave me one 3-hour lesson, and I never looked back!
It's my weekend amusement! I gotta have a creative outlet, or I'll wither away.

That’s so lovely! The setting is prefect for that stone. You’re very talented!

It's gorgeous, thanks for sharing!

hI,

I think the piece is lovely. Much can be done with silver to make any design stand out. I love my Kingman piece a lot. Not as nice as yours, but I like Kingman in general. You know. I saw silver bracelets (Jay KIng) when I first became interested in jewelry. He doesn't make them like he used to. At the time I considered them expensive so didn't buy any. How I wish I had.

Really lovely, stacci-- better than Susan Hayward, now appearing on screen .
