So I wanted to get a ring made with my birthstone (garnet) and my partners birthstone (opal). So I finally decided on a tsav and black welo because the green in the opal played so nice with the tsav. It was SUPER HARD to capture the 3D glitter of the black opal, you'll just have to take my word for it. Or if you're super curious you can email me through my LT listings and I'll send a video! Hehe.
Anyways, here's my version of the toi et moi ring, designed in an etruscan style by Sally and Pomme of Heart of Waters. Wish I could capture the magic of the opal, but alas.
Gem stats:
Tsavorite in an OEC cut by Dan stair. 1.17 ct, 6.22 mm
Black welo opal by Jim McCormick, 2.38 cts, 12.00 mm x 8.80 mm.
Photos via iphone (sorry) in various lighting.
