Well since I suggested to megeve that a landscape jasper might make a nice loaf ring I thought I would use that as impetus to cab a piece Ive been procrastinating for a looong time. I banged it out so its not really great, but the good part is you gets to see the changes in the picture as it cuts!

Very cool, Vapid! I like it a lot! :))

Wow VL, you are talented! I wouldn't trust myself to do that. Great work and its very pretty!

That stone looks like Japanese artwork on ricepaper...nice job shaping it!

You have such talent in seeing something inside the most ordinary things and bringing it out so that others can see it too.

It is so beautiful! Perhaps I should mail some of my "landscape" jaspers from the Ural mountains to you as a gift. =) As it stands now, they are collecting dust on my shelves. Some of them are really "landscapes", like a waterfall. Does your Jasper look like a Japanese picture? Mine do.

Yes many of them look like antique Oriental landscape painting. Or like a smurf village flattened with a steamroller and then hung on the wall!

Wow they are better than paintings.... I would frame it and hang it. But jewelry made out of it is just as good. I have a piece of dendritic agate that is like a tiny landscape. Some of the inclusion quartz looks like dioramas too.

IMG_3567.JPG IMG_6293.JPG How exciting to find Jasper here too... I'll include my Philippine Red Jasper ring...

@VapidLapid this is such a cool project! Do you use any tools or do just sand?

just sand and metal polish... thanks
