I own an African wand with a face shaped sculpture. It was destroyed during the move. But after 15 years and almost threw several times, I discovered that the eyes of the sculptures were blue stones. so I picked both of the stones. And I asked an expert via a picture what he thought what it was. He replied that it could well be the basis of sapphire colors. Both stones weigh a total 7gram. If its real, What could be a fair price?
Am I suddenly a rich man?

Presuming that it is an untreated blue sapphire, the carat weight works out to be slightly over 15 carats each. Unfortunately, due to the fact that it is extremely dark, requires back-lighting at extremely close range in order to be able to make out the colour and clarity, and that the light is unable to penetrate the stone, its valuation will only be in the $10 to $50 range at best. As always, verification should be done by an experienced gemmologist with specialized tools with the stone in hand.

okay. Thanks for the information:) I'll take them for identification after Christmas. But I do not have too high expectations. I think the story behind the stones are more exciting than the value :)

Cool wand. I am neither an expert nor a professional but I bet the stones are glass.

I am not now experts either, but sapphire weighing more than glass would think =) we'll see next year when the expert has seen them :) I'll update.
