What is the lighting condition of the first picture? The colour is so saturated and medium toned, then the next few pictures are a lighter shade.

The pictures were taken outside, in direct, indirect and shade. The wife told me to add a picture of her tourmaline also.

Both are nice, but spinel is a real sparkler, just stunning!

P. S. I bet the shade of color in pic #1 is the result of an angle from which the photo was made and the fact that it''s (I''m guessing) made in indirect/shaded sunlight.
