I've been keeping an eye on Yvonne's various opals and lusting after each one of them but not pulling the trigger as it's an awful time for me to be spending on gemstones right now.

Then I go and purchase this.

They are like slices of Saturns rings! Love how unique and special they are in shape, and how the pattern is at a diagonal. I get the sense of an upsweep in space. They make me happy looking at them because they are so evocative. I can see why you bought them!

Those are beautiful! They are really cool. I feel like opals each look so different from one another that if you see one you like, you should get it.

Hey guys! Thanks for all the compliments, opals are my one true love.

So I'm thinking earrings for them, yellow gold, as usual. Maybe bezelled on simple Shepard hooks?

OR... because they are a beautiful size I am slightly entertaining the idea of a huge bypass style bangle or even (dare I say it) cocktail ring!

The sky's the limit at the moment as all I can do is dream anyway , these won't be set for a while. Fingers crossed not to long a while.
