So my partner took it away until she officially proposes (probably in NY next weekend) but I managed to get her to let me try it on and snap a few pics. Attaching BG glamour shots and some hand shots. I’m not gonna lie, it looks WAY bigger than I expected. Kind of overwhelmed “

Figuring this out is our next project! A simple platinum band is always a solid choice and may be what I decide on. I tried it on with my thin half eternity bar set emerald cut band and it honestly got lost next to the engagement ring’s flashes. Another option is something in yellow gold as I love mixing metals (knowing that over the years that band may get a bit worn against the Pt). Once I have it, I’ll have to go try a million things on and report back.

She’s not particularly girly so this is what I came up with for her. The benefit is that it was inexpensive enough that I told her she could pick out anything else she wanted instead, I just wanted something shiny to propose with. But she really really loved the ring and doesn’t want to give it up. So I guess it’s now her official engagement ring
