bridal hair

i think i''ll probably do mine half up, but when i was at a bridal shop yesterday, noticed a girl had hers in an updo on the side (kind of loose) with a subtle hair jewel. it looked so gorgeous. but i wonder what veil could go with that and if it''d last all day/night.

anyone else going with that style? i may just stick to half up in the end...

I was thinking of doing a loose, side chignon and was wondering the same thing about veils. My mom and sister don''t think it will look strange, I am assuming it would be fastened near the crown just like any other veil, only the hair is at the side.
My hair dresser did a bit of a quick trial on me, she said with lots of hairspray it should stay just fine, and will actually look nicer as the day goes on b/c it will natually ''fall'' a bit but will add to the look. I''ll have to take her word on it

janine- if it''s the gallery i''m thinking of i think there is a section call chignons, and there is a photo of julianne moore with what seems to be a side type chignon although there''s no photo from the back

Thanks so much for posting those links! I too am trying to figure out what type of chignon I wanted, and they were very helpful.

I found THIS site at Theknot.com and these hairstyles are all great with good pictures too. I thought this site was really helpful. There are quite a few updos that are on the side as well!
