Do I need to bring a hostess gift? If so, what are some ideas?

Yes, you should give a gift to each hostess for the shower.
You can give anything that suits the hostesses, that part is completely up to you. I gave serving dishes to hostesses that liked to entertain, and then I found gifts for the other hostesses that fit their personalities.

Yes, you should. I picked up an orchid plant at Whole Foods and gave that to my aunt. Impressive and inexpensive ($20 for plant and card).

HH how funny! I gave orchid plants to my shower hostesses (my 4 bridesmaids) as well. I actually send them the day after the shower (through a company called Giving Plants- they have a website) because it was supposed to be a surprise shower, so if I had brought the gifts with me I would have signaled that it wasn''t a surprise (even though I had kind of figured out it was happening that day). If you look for coupon codes online you can get a discount from Giving Plants which made each orchid approx $30. They all seemed to like them a lot!

A gift certificate for a spa treatment could also be a good hostess gift. Good luck figuring something out!

What are some other idea people gave ?? I have 3 hostess now I feel pressed for time to get them something. My shower is in 2 weeks!!!! AHHHHHgggg

I love the idea of a plant. It''s very neutral, since basically everyone likes plants.

What are your thoughts on some scented candles or monogrammed note cards?

I would go with the note cards over the candle because some people are very sensitive to scents.

I got once a baking cook book, cookie cutters and measuring spoons. I really liked it. I know that the bride has another shower and for that she gave really nice wine stoppers and a bottle of wine. It all depends on the interests of the people that are hosting!
