Bridesmaid Gifts

So I just bought part of my bridemaids gifts!!! I got Vera Bradley tote bags (on sale b/c the style is being retired!) in the Peacock pattern (my wedding colors) and a coordinating change purse. I have attached pics below. My wedding is on the water, so I was thinking about filling it with a few beach related items as well as either including a piece of jewelry or a gift certificate for a pedicure that they can use on their own. I''m going to treat them to a mani/pedi for the wedding, since I don''t want their costs to be too high so they don''t need to use it for that. What do you think? Any ideas of what I can put in it? Would you prefer jewelry or the gift certificate?

what about putting a fun, colorful (maybe monogrammed) beach towel to go with the beach theme?

also, i think i would rather have a gift certificate than a piece of jewlery. it''s tough to pick out jewelry (esp inexpensive jewelry) that you know everyone will like.

I love the purses and coin purses! What a cute idea, and I agree, I would rather have a GC rather than a piece of jewelry, unless it is the jewelry you would like them to wear on your wedding day.

I think your idea is very creative, and I think your girls will adore the bags!

I think the bag and purse are so cute. I agree with FutureMrs.PD Jewelry is so personal and it is hard to pick for someone else especially at the lower price points. As for what else to fill the tote with, I think flip-flops and BM''s tank tops are cute. You guys can all wear your flip flops and tank tops to get the mani-peddies.

Thanks girls! Ok, so I took all of your suggestions, here is what I have added. Vera Bradley just happens to make a coordinating beach towel in this print. It''s expensive for a towel, but since I''ve decided to do a gift certificate instead of jewelry it works.

Finally, I'm thinking of getting these flip flops from JCrew. They're a metallic leather and should match their dresses (I'll have to verify that though w/ the swatch) for when their heels start to hurt. I feel like it's a fun summery color that they can wear again too. What do you think? Too colorful? Should I get something in a more neutral color?
