Are you under budget? Over? Right on target?

a smidge under budget! going over is NOT an option!

Under, although not by much. We budgeted 8k and are paying 7.5k. Still, yay for us!

Right on target...but I''ve had to make some sacrafices to get there (ie- DIY save the dates & invites)

Over...joy

I had originally thought I could pull off our wedding for $12,000. Reality bit me hard and I increased our budget to $15,000 - and we''re coming out to $17,000....yikes. Weddings are expensive - especially when FMIL insists on having a bananas foster "station" as the "groom''s cake" - awesome - but pricey...

originally, i didn''t think i wanted anything spectacular, something simple but nice. i figured $10 - 15k, max. then i stepped foot into the place that I''m now getting married at and have completely blown the budget by a long shot. the place i''m getting married at has a $25K food and beverage minimum. yikes!

Under by about 15%. This was my goal, because I know there will be last-minute incidentals that are hard to predict.

However, a lot of it depends on how many people end up RSVP''ing, because our venue charges entirely per person.

I just added everything up, and we're about $3500 under budget. Yay!

ETA: which is about 15% of initial projections.

I think I''m about on budget - but need to firm up some estimates (hopefully I''m anticipating more rather than less!).

FI and I are leaving tomorrow night for 5 days in Italy. We''re staying with one of my BFF and her family - her daughter who''s 12 is my oldest BM. They are taking us wine-tasting and then we are buying all the wine and they are helping co-ordinate the shipping for me.

I''m so excited!

Wow Pandora! I''m so jealous! I hope you have a fantastic time!

Have a great time, Pandora! Are you going to Arezzo? If so, eat some of that delicious local pecorino tartuffo on my behalf. And say hello to the funny man in the wool and notions store by the train station.

Lol, that's a good shop! Not Arezzo this time...

I'm going to a place called Biella in Piedmonte. Piedmonte makes the famous Barolo and Barbera wines - and of course Asti Spumante. If you ever go, try and be in Alba at the beginning of October for the white truffle festival - I swear the whole town smells of truffles.

In my next life I intend to be a truffle hunting pig!

I have an estimate next to the wine and I am praying that I'm not way under on it!

so far, we are under budget, but there are lots of decisions to be made and many chances to blow our budget. If you ask me again next month, that might be another story (I hope not though)

So far, over. But our budget has been revised several times. I don't feel that bad about going over budget because if it were up to me, our wedding would be 10 of our closest friends and family in the mountains. But FI has a huge family and a million friends so it's really just the numbers that are causing us to go over.

Oh, and the fact that I bought 2 dresses. But if we weren't having such a big wedding I wouldn't have felt so pressured to have a fancy dress!! And since we are having all these people there, we should probably get a videographer (which I did a great job of finding....filming the whole wedding/reception for $600!!).

hahaha I can understand why FI gets frusterated with me about the budget. But honestly, I feel so much pressure to have everything perfect with so many people there. If it were just us and friends I would want a fantastic photographer but I would be fine with a casual dinner, casual dress, etc....ugh.

We do still have lots of stuff to book though, so I'm hoping we can still come in under budget on the cake and flowers.

We''re under by about €2000 so far. I''m hoping that this keeps up!

After doubling my original budget, I''m now right under...

We had to cut back our original budget due to contributions being cut back. So far we''re over our new budget by about 4k.

We''re over our original estimated budget of $10,000, but still within our "this is comfortable range" of $12,000. I think we''ll be fine when everything is said and done, but there have been a few nights that I''ve gone crazy trying to cut things from the budget!

We''ve gone over. Most of that is because our guest list has doubled from what we originally had, and some of it is because of certain menu options we''ve chosen.

I don''t have a budget yet...mainly because I don''t have a date yet...sigh. So I''m going to make myself feel a little better by pretending that means we''re under
