Buying diamond rings in LA

Hi,

Newbie here -- to the forum and to diamond buying. We're in Los Angeles and I'm wondering if anyone has recommendations for good, reputable jewelry stores in the South Bay area. My husband and I want to replace our wedding bands. We'd rather not go online as this is our first time buying diamond rings (Our first set were hand-me-downs).

Editing in to say: I don't mean to say "hand-me-downs" as if it is a bad thing. We were really honored and moved when his parents offered to let us use or have their rings, which they didn't wear anymore for whatever reasons (even though they're happily married). But we just decided after a years it was time to buy our own set.

Do a search for Los Angeles. I think there was a store mentioned that was in Torrance. Can''t remember anymore. Otherwise, you''ll find reputable stores mentioned in the Jewelry District. I bought my e-ring in the Jewelry District. My jeweler is totally reputable, he just doesn''t impart much info. You ask, he''ll tell/do. Don''t ask, he won''t offer. Very laidback and unpressured, but you basically need to know exactly what you want beforehand.

I know a great place in West LA where the owner is totally into teaching you. Great guy. Pricier, but the stuff he was telling me I later validated in my online research (including Pricescope) so I know he wasn''t telling me some typical salesperson spiel. He''s more into just off ideal tho (his idea of best value). I don''t like his saleswomen tho.
