Ahhhhhhhh!!!! I''m freaking en-GAGED!!!!! I''ll post a pic first (can you tell I''m in love with Photoshop??) and then tell the proposal story later because I KNOW most of you are just in it for the hand shots!!!

It''s a white gold cathedral mount with a bar setting. The diamond looks like it''s crammed into the setting but I promise it''s a regular shaped princess cut sitting in there just like a good little diamond should! The ring is from Shane Co. They were wonderful to work with!!

It''s 1.01 ct, F color, SI 1......that''s about all I remember from when we picked it out a month ago. I LOOOOOOOOOOVE it. It''s stunningly sparkly in "real life", my camera just sucks at capturing it!!!!!!

And for those of you that care.....the proposal story.

Saturday September 30th (my 25th birthday) FI told me to wear my new black dress and to pack an overnight bag. He picked me up and we went downtown Minneapolis to a fantastic steakhouse called Manny''s. At dinner he gave me a GORGEOUS necklace and I was just pumped to get that! (In the back of my mind I was still hoping, but I didn''t want to get my hopes up TOO high for a proposal!) Anyway, after dinner we drove around for awhile (he borrowed my dad''s car because he didn''t think our cars were worthy of that night--too cute!) and we ended up at the Graves 601 Hotel (which is just about the coolest hotel I have EVER been to. Go there if you get the chance!!!!) We went up to the 19th floor and into an AWESOME room. I first noticed the view of the Minneapolis skyline out of the window but THEN noticed the candles and rose petals EVERYWHERE!! (I am such an idiot, I didn''t get a picture afterwards!) Anyway, FI started saying all of these wonderful things, I started BAWLING, and then he proposed STANDING UPRIGHT. I made him get down on his knee when he put the ring on! (I''m such a brat!!) All I remember is him saying my whole name and then suddenly me wearing a ring....it''s all a BLUR. Once I got myself together he suggested going down to the bar/lounge for a champagne toast so we went down there and there was my family and his family too (his fam drove/flew up from Iowa!!!!!). I lost it all over again and cried like a baby for the next hour or so. FI had a cake made that said, "She said yes" so we dug into that and drank champagne and laughed and cried and it was WONDERFUL.

The cutest part... FI invited my dad out to dinner on Thursday to a really nice restaurant. He said he put the ring box on the table and said, "This is your daughter''s birthday present if that''s ok with you...." HOW CUTE IS THAT?? I guess my dad got really emotional and then started spewing advice and was just being my cute dad. I love my guys!!!!!

Awwwwwwww, LOVE the proposal story... how incredibly sweet that he had your families there to celebrate!!! And there is something about hearing how your boy asked permission that just sets off the waterworks... I was too stunned to cry until mine told me he had called my brothers for permission too... then I totally lost it.
