Guys, I need help!

I have a 1ct light yellow pear diamond which I plan on setting with a colour enhancing cup. This is not my ering. I want to try a split shank with pave but not halo (as pictured below; pls excuse my poor iPhone doodles).

But I’m not sure what to do for the profile view as I’ve never had it set with a cup before..

Would something like this look good with a cup?

The rendering currently looks like this and I’m not sure what to add to make it look more interesting. Would hidden halo look too busy? Engraving? Prongs to extend to the bottom?

I feel stuck and any input is appreciated!!

Thank you!!

I always thought this yellow cup was so lovely!

oh my now that is perfection! what a great example of what things can be done with a cup!

I just spent some time looking at fancy yellows, specifically looking at Mark Broumand because I love those engraved cups. I ended up going with a design from Diamonds by Lauren that is only a very partial cup, and love it for the ease of cleaning which I've become a little obsessive about since yellow diamonds seem to show grime even faster although admittedly that could be my imagination! This one setting has yellow prongs and what looks like a bezel around it, which you can see from the sides and then the gallery has a yellow petal design that's open so you can see the stone. This is my original post with pics, but I'll take a couple now that show the partial cup (still working on the same sweater!)

oops those pics are huge! you can see the partial cup from the side if you're looking -- but you really don't notice it. I included the very bad picture of the diamond from the front front so you can see the prong setting, where you don't see the cup at all.

SO beautifully done. This was exactly what I was looking for! You can barely see the cup underneath! :kiss2:
