I am back from our honeymoon!! Due to some issues in my life I''ve been bad at regularily posting, but I wanted to share pictures since you have all been so helpful with wedding planning. We got married May 2 in Southern California and just got back from Greece and Turkey.
Our wedding began with a bang...literally!!! A few minutes after our wedding rehearsal, an earthquake hit (4.5?) centered a few miles from our site. That sure shook up our East Coast guests!!
We ran late getting ready, but other than that, everything turned out very welll. I DIY-''d quite a few things (I need the professional pictures to show you those) and take pride in the fact that I designed most of the wedding myself. I really wanted everything to be my vision (in blush, white and silver!). We had 120 guests and everyone said they had a great time. We served a choice of miso glazed sea bass with risotto and asparagus wrapped in green onion or filet mignon with rosemary roasted potato and asparagus wrapped in green onion. For dessert, we had tirimasu wedding cake and chocolate cake with chocolate ganache and buttercream. We ordered cake for 160 people, and yet 120 guests ate all of it! Needless to say, everyone loved the food. I will post more details including our signature drinks a little later (if anyone is interested).
