Call me crazy, but I am lovin this spess in RG!

Some of you probably threw up in your mouth a little.

I knew this had the risk of clashing, and it probably does, but I am so lovin this combo! I think the RG is bringing out the orange in the spess!

Stone: 2.79 spess yellow-orange spess from Tanzania
Setting: LOGR Legacy with 18KRG head/18WG shank with upgraded diamonds

Oh, her name is Sunkist. She'll be off to the jewelers tomorrow to be set. YAY, I finally got a spess ring!

I''ll be the first to admit I wouldn''t have gone that route. I''m also kind of skintone conscious and I don''t think the combo would look very good against my skin.

It does look nice and looks like it will work for the stone.

I couldn''t stop staring! Something about the orange and the coppery RG just...I don''t know. To some people it may clash, but to me it just looks so vibrant.

Yes, I do believe that the halo enhances the orange color. At least this particular setting with my yellowish-orange spess. There''s enough contrast with the white melee yet not too much RG metal where it takes away from the stone.

Thank you, Allsparkly, I''m glad you like it! I purchased my stone from Gemburionline, an Ebay vendor. His name is Tan. He also includes a close-up video of the stones, so it gives you a better idea of its personality and color. I''m very happy with my stone, and I would gladly buy from him again.

My experience with LOGR has been very positive. Their settings offer a great value for the price. I''m very happy with the quality of my ring. I did, however, upgrade to 18K gold and H VS diamonds for an extra fee. Also a heads up on the diamond quality. Even though I upgraded the diamonds on all my settings, not all of them are VS. They''re a mixture of VS, SI and some I. They''re not noticeable unless you loupe them or really scrutinize them up close. Then again, for the price that I paid, I''m okay with it. I can definitely see a difference between my melee and the melee in their non-upgraded diamonds.

I can also feel the heft of the 18K gold, and the settings have good symmetry. Just make sure you specify your modifications and request a quote before submit your offer or buy at bin price. You want to make sure that your requests are clear and you get what you pay extra for. Stephen has been great with all my questions and he usually responds within 2 days.

Which setting are you thinking about getting in RG? Do you already have a stone?

I''m the exact same. It never would have dawned on me to set that stone in that setting...but MAN is it a lovely combination! Congratulations, and I can''t wait to see handshots when it''s set!!!
