Hi All,
Looking for the best possible cut out there in this size and price range or lower. I'm so confused by the cut angles (even after tons of research) to locate a diamond with excellent performance. Sometimes they all look great by the numbers, but I am no expert. Can anyone help in this regard?

Thanks in advance

One of the reasons to buy from a vendor who has their own in house "super ideal" stones is that you dont have to worry at all about cut anymore. All of the ACA stones are cut to be the best of the best. So if cut is your priority and you like this stone, I would go for it :)

The table looks very clean to me I can’t see the inclusion in the video, that would be important to me buying a stone this big. Also keep in mind at J color you will see tint/warmth especially on a diamond this size compared to a smaller one so make sure you are not color sensitive.

I’m no expert so of no help here but just want to say that I agree with @jp201845 on the tint/warmth of J color. I’m pretty colour sensitive and prefer white stones. I have a J diamond pendant just under 1 ct, very good cut that I bought when I started out. It’s set in yellow gold so the warm tint isn’t that obvious and it’s really sparkly but it always bothers me psychologically and so I haven’t worn it in nearly 20 years since I got another pendant in G color.

I would call Whiteflash on Monday and ask them about both of these diamonds. They can do picture comparisons for you regarding color and clarity. They are both top tier cut diamonds so you don’t have to worry about their cut quality. The folks there are very friendly and helpful and they welcome your inquiries.

This will be a gorgeous stone! Regarding the color, many don’t see the tint in an ideal cut J, so it just depends on how sensitive you are. Plus the great thing about buying from Whiteflash is that you can always upgrade in the future if you decide you want bigger or whiter!

Thank you so much for your input! I appreciate it very much as you always seem so helpful with sharing your expertise. We are also considering an OEC but have absolutely no idea who to speak with about sourcing a stone other than through Adam at OWD. I just cant decide between an ideal MRB or well cut OEC. I hope I make the right choice.

So true about the upgrade policy. I forgot about that!
