Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

I have the Arms Reach Mini Co-Sleeper which fits well in our pretty small bedroom - not that Madam likes sleeping in it. Generally I put her in - already asleep - I''ll lie down, then open my eyes to check her and see this pair of beady eyes looking right back...
38.gif

She''s a silent sleeper though so I don''t get woken up all the time.

What she adores is the Bloom highchair - I have it in the sitting-room and she goes in there most of the day. She looks like Dr Evil in her pod, but sleeps like an angel. It also means that she is used to sleeping in daylight, with the TV on, people talking etc. I''m hoping I can therefore skip the bouncy chair/swing etc as I don''t really have room.

The feeding pillow I have is a godsend and makes things so much easier - looks like my milk came in today, hooray! I got one on ebay brand-new from someone who was given two as presents and paid £10 instead of £45.

DH booked for both of us to have our haircut today and I now feel like a new person - amazing what a difference spending some time on yourself makes. Daisy came too and was so well-behaved - sat and watched everyone and then fell asleep all without a squeak.

Mela, hope the sweep works for you - my m/w did one when they found I was only fingertip dilated and it did seem to help get things going. I imagine it''s a bit uncomfortable - I just OD''d on the Entonox while they did mine so was a bit away with the fairies and don''t remember. I''d love to know what makes some babies arrive early and others late - all my pg friends here were nearly 42 weeks before giving birth, hence I was very suprised that Daisy was early.

I can''t believe how the weight drops off after giving birth - I''m losing about 7lbs a day, and today I am back in my pre-pregnancy trousers - they don''t completely do up so I''m still using the elastic band method, but considering they wouldn''t go past my knees a few weeks ago (tried them on for fun
20.gif
) I''m pretty happy!

Hello ladies, man this thread is moving fast lately! Ok, here goes-

Mela- Hoping your membrane sweep proves productive! Eww btw, the term "membrane sweep" sounds like someone is eating your brains.
14.gif
3.gif
We're going to miss you around here.

Natalina- Happy Birthday!

Sabine- I understand you being sad. None of my BFF's live near me, and 2 just had babies this month. We are so close, I can't imagine our kiddies not growing up together and it makes me so sad not to have daily interaction. But maybe by the time the kiddos are old enough to actually play together, you guys will be closer.

Robbie- Still love Desmond and Lydia. Of the other suggestions, I like: Leonora (nn Lea, Nora), Josephine, Louisa, Jonah/Jonas. We actually have a last name that ends in -er and for some reason it doesn't bother me. Though the stress of the syllables is not on the -er so maybe that makes a difference? Either that or it's because my dog's name ends in -er and I am so used to it by now that I think it's cute. Yes, our doggie daycare uses both his "first" and "last" names.
3.gif

Ebree- No I haven't gone near the car seat thing yet. Once we've moved I plan to tackle it.

Amber- So would get the Uppa at that price. I
30.gif
it. I would also get the SNG though. I have a BOB and we are getting a SNG and probably a Maclaren later and don't really need the Uppa, but at that price I would get it anyways. It's so pretty.
2.gif

Fiery- Love the Dwell Charlotte myself. I love all things Dwell. But for the purple of it all, that Sweet Potato bedding is perfect! And I love that it's called "sweet potato" so cute.

Peony- Aw, you and your DH look so cute in that photo.

Q- Congrats and good luck!!! How is it being preggo for the second time? Less exciting and all-consuming I assume? Since you are probably all tied up with your little girl. Hope the appointment went well.

Mandarine- That bedding is great. I think Sabine posted it awhile back, and I have always loved it. We bought a similiar looking crib, great look.

Whew, hope I got everyone. Today's thread is making me itch to get into our new house and start decorating!!!!

ETA: Pandora! You rock for still posting over here. I think we must have a pic of lil Daisy in her highchair so we can drool both over her and the gear! I so want that highchair, but it's crazy expensive over here.

Neatfreak, thanks SO much for the info! We were planning to get the full-sized Arm''s Reach cosleeper (I actually didn''t even know there was another one). We may just end up getting the crib too because we''ll need it eventually, right? Actually, we''ll need two eventually but hopefully not for a while.

Thanks for the nursing pillow link! I actually already had it bookmarked from before. We''re definitely getting that!! What is the other main stuff that we need? I know that there are are baby gyms (those play mats), swings, and bouncers. Do we just need one of those each? Well, we probably don''t NEED those, but are they helpful to have to entertain the babies? Thanks so much for any advice you have! I actually already started adding things to a Babies R Us registry to keep things organized, but I haven''t told anyone about it yet.
9.gif

I''d start out with one of each but you probably will need to buy 2 bouncy chairs and play mats. My boys didn''t like the swing so we got rid of the one we did have. But every baby likes something different...so if you start out with 1 of each you can always get another if they both love it. Bouncy chairs are a godsend!

We got the Chicco car seats which are super. Very safe and a good choice for twins b/c they can safely carry babies as small as 4 lbs (most start at 5) which is often useful with multiples. Also works with the double snap n go.

I''ll try and think of other things...but those are the biggies.

gosh where to start?

Membrane sweep and stretch was good. Not comfortable, but not that bad. I am only a fingertip dilated, my cervix is long and firm.
29.gif
Basically, no where close. My middie then check the heart rate. Uh Oh. Her face went pale and she got worried. It was skipping around and dropping from 160 to 106 - very scary. I got sent to Labour and Delivery straight away. There, they did a non-stress test and an ultrasound. Baby is "a generous size" (oh dear) and very active and healthy looking. Placenta is "old and calcified" and the amniotic fluid looks "average". Overall, the OB was happy with the environment so I was sent home.

I go back on Sat (mid-day) for another ultrasound. There, I will have to pass all 8 check-points, otherwise be induced. I feel like my "old and calcified" placenta may be the thing the fail me. lol.

All in all, it wasn''t scary, but they really don''t know why the heart rate was so erratic. Overall, the OB didn''t seem worried...so I''m not either. Even though inducement was FAR from how I pictured things to go, at this point, I just want my baby out safe and sound.
40.gif

The only thing I can hope for is that the membrane stretch and sweep kicks my tight-wad into gear. She basically just took her fingers and stretched the rim of my cervix in long sweeping (circular) motions, over and over and over. Not that painful, just uncomfy.

Anyways, I''m relieved, but also kinda frustrated. Ironically, I ran into a couple we met in pre-natal classes. She was due today...and was holding her adorable little son. I was happy for her, but sad for me. I kept saying to my middie "when is my baby coming?"

Mela 40w5d

Amber - I ADORE that Dwell Studio "Robin" bedding. DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IndyPity - any pics of this bedding? That is a great price - for real. I'd buy it and then you can always sell it on Craigslist or Ebay (new with tags) if you change your mind.

DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hahaha.

Mela--i remember Co''s heart rate doing that at a few of my NSTs! I don''t know why, and i remember the nurse calling the OB to check, but i don''t think they were ever concerned
33.gif
b/c i too was just sent home . 3 days is plenty of time to go on your own ! I am rooting for ya!
Hang tight--er, no,, NO, i take that back! Hand LOOOOSE

I was standing in the kitchen making a tea, and I felt a huge wad drop...hahah...sorry for the TMI. Sure enough, a nice big juicy BLOB, like the size and thickness of my thumb.

I''m so proud of my body for having "the show". Is that crazy!? Gooooo Body! Do your thang!

M- i have those car seats and i like them with the snap n go

. I am a Capricorn but certainly an indecisive one! I am almost never confident in decisions I make
15.gif
. LOVE those diaper covers. SO adorable. I am going to have to check out that site. Everyone seems to love it!!
Anxious to hear about your appnt--bring on the gory deets!!

Fiery--i really like that bedding too!!! Actually, i like all of it on that site--must bookmark :-)
Hey Jas
35.gif
I'm not all that into astrology but are those Capricorn traits? I'm a Capricorn and I am exactly the same.

Qtiekiki--Congrats!

Peony--Congrats to DH and you of course because behind every great man..... you know the rest....

I was looking at the Graco Lauren crib because I wanted an espresso crib but I still haven't seen it in person yet. I'm also trying to figure out whether I want a cosleeper, bassinett, or play yard. My daughter had a play yard but it no longer exists as she destroyed it at the babysitter (so the story goes). She never really slept in it though because we co-slept with her. Actually we still are cosleeping (she's 2) because we haven't been successful in getting her out of the bed before the new baby gets here. So it seems that the new baby will be the only one who I didn't cosleep with. I've been having some weird fears about whether or not this will make him "different" than my other two kids.
32.gif

Pandora.....
35.gif
Its so good to see you and to hear about your milk coming in. Yay!

For those people who had the cosleeper, did you actually "attach" it to your bed and leave it attached all day? I think I'm looking for something I can roll from room to room. However, I'm really only interested in cosleepers as opposed to bassinets for the ability to have the baby "sleeping" in the bed with me.

Mela....Yay for the mucous plug coming out!
36.gif

Oh yeah.... just found out that one of my girlfriends is in the hospital because she is "struggling with postpartum depression". That was the message her DH left on my VM. I called as soon as I found out but she seems to not want to talk about it or not talk to me at least. Does anyone know how one actually gets hospitalized for PPD?

Of course, I'm worried about her but I'm concerned because I didn't see any signs and I consider her to be well-organized and together all the time. She seemed to in control and I even called her "supermom". I feel bad that I didn't even notice.

Hooray, Mela! I lost my plug the morning that I got induced. It was a great feeling! You''re so close!

Pandora, isn''t it such a relief when your milk comes in? I was so relieved when mine finally came in. I felt so proud like I''d accomplished something. Come on over to the newborn mother''s thread.

Go Mela, Go mela GO!
36.gif
36.gif
36.gif
. Looks like that membrane sweep got things kick-started!! Only on *this* thread could a blob of mucus generate so much excitement!

Fabiene--hmm, not sure if it is a capricorn trait? Are you a perfectionist too? Those tend to go hand in hand. Make a decision and then stress over if it was the ''perfect one'' --great, parenthood is going to be a real treat eh ,lol?
5.gif

mela YAY!!! you''ll be holding your himer soon enough!!

Just a quick drive by as A is having a fussy night.

Pandora, Daisy is a beauty. The pics of you and your Dh holding her are so precious. I am so sorry you had such a traumatic L&D.

Mela, can''t weight to hear good news! Go, Mela, go!

Mandarine
Thanks. That was my announcement. LOL.
Graco SnugRide is highly rated on baby bargains. Quite a few PS mommies had that car seat. I can''t speak from personal experiences since we didn''t get an infant seat.
Love the colors and the circles on the bedding. Very cute.

Amber
Thanks.
I like your bedding choice too.

fiery
Thanks.

Sabine
I didn''t make an announcement on this thread. I think I did posted a while back that I miss being pregnant.
Try to relax and not stress about the movers packing.

China
You are moving too. The PS preggos are on the move. LOL.
We are still excited, but we are more shocked this time around since it''s only been a few months of not preventing. With DD, it took 1 year of actively TTCing. I am just as nervous about m/c as the first time. I didn''t stress on much the first time around, so I would be the same this time.

mela
Yay for losing your mucous plug. Any contractions yet?
I started getting contractions and lost the MP at the same time. I gave birth 25 hours later.

fabienne
Thanks.

Delurking (since I haven''t managed to actually make it on this thread yet - maybe an IVF will finally happen and get me my BFP?) for Robbie:

It''s pretty rare nowadays to get a GA for a C/S. Studies of maternal mortality in Britain linked them to GAs - either difficulty intubating (pregnant women are harder to intubate, some more so than others), or from respiratory complications postop. I can''t say I''ve had a spinal myself, but I''ve sure done enough of them and of epidurals, and all my patients think they''re great. I''m sure I''ve done >300 epidurals, and >80 spinals, and of the ones that come for C/S, it''s been only the extremely rare patient (maybe 2-3) who needed anything more than some handholding and reassurance when it came time for the section. The baby is usually better off having the C/S done under regional as they get less in the way of meds. You might be able to get a little something to take the edge off (versed) going into it, but the only person I gave that to was the one who had already passed out earlier getting her IV started, and who started to look very white and shaky when we said we''d bring her into the OR for her spinal now. For once in my life, I let the husband come in to hold her for the spinal, and she did fine. I''m not sure how much she remembered of the whole event though, cause these meds can cause amnesia.
Sure, you''ll feel some tugging and pulling, but if the block is working well, I''ve been told it''s really not bad. If your OB will agree to repair your uterus inside (and not exteriorize it to suture), the ickiness should be less intense. It should all be less bad than natural childbirth would be! The pain meds you get through the spinal/epidural (long-acting narcotics) will be better than what you''d get if you had a GA C/S too (Patient-controlled analgesia morphine, at my hospital).

Anyhow, not that I can speak as your doctor, but if something happened and your anesthetist suggested a regional for a C/S, let them give you some pros and cons before putting yourself at more risk with a GA!

OK. I should probably try to get some sleep, with less than 36h to go before the big exam. Not looking forward to it, but I''ll sure be glad when it''s over!
Kate

congrats qtiekiki!!!!! and mela!!! go baby go baby go!
pandora.. the ''alert'' picture of daisy is just beautiful.. and that hair! gah! i love me a baby with some hair! plus, you are superwoman! you and blen need to start a little superwoman club :)

hello everyone!
36.gif
36.gif

not much to report here... almost into week 19 - DH looked at me the other day and said "you look pregnant." which, i guess, is better than looking fat
3.gif
.
i have been having some body image issues as of late. it''s unfortunate that along with my stomach growing.. so have my love handles. it''s really throwing a damper in my wardrobe selection. you will all think i''m totally crazy - but i''d rather, at this stage, wear a tighter top that accentuates my belly (i.e. so i look pg) than a flowy top that just makes me look fat. but these love handles are ruining my choices. my girlfriend said they were growing in preparation to morph to the front (god love her). i don''t know, i guess it just wasn''t something i was expecting... butt bigger? sure, legs bigger? ok.. but back fat? ugh! i should have known since that is where i struggled most to lose it in the past... sorry, just having a little pity party that my body doesn''t look like ellen pompeo''s
7.gif

on the bright side.. my flutters are pretty regular - in fact, yesterday they were down right ticklish! i think they feel like sticking your finger into a glass of soda water. it''s so reassuring to know that the bean is moving around in there.

on the name game front.. what is everyone''s opinion on wesley? trendy? classic? i''d like to steer clear of anything overly trendy. right nooooowwwww DH doesn''t hate it (like *every* other name i suggest). i''d like to call him wes. also... i think it''s funny that i seem to have the exact opposite problem with names.. i can''t think of a girl''s name to save my life. i think boys names are soo much easier... we are going to be in a real pickle if this bean is pink.

on the car seat/stroller issue - we got the phil and ted''s buggy that can convert to a double stroller - eliminating the need to buy one in the future.. and the best part is that both seats fully recline. we got a great deal from babycheapskate. so we registered for the maxi-cosi car seat and adapter bar. i really like the maxi cosi a lot!! and i love the ''grow with me'' car seat from them as well.. it''s received some great ratings! just to throw more confusion your way :)

Fabienne - I didn''t bother attaching the co-sleeper to our bed. It''s useful to be able to move it to get in and out of bed and it needs a good bit of pressure to move it - and we have wooden floors (I may possibly have the brakes on the wheels - would need to check).

Mela - Hooray on the MP. I never seemed to lose one at all...
33.gif
Fingers crossed that you go into spontaneous labour shortly. If you do end up with an induction, I''d really recommend getting the epidural sited first. I don''t know if your hospital has them, but with the mobile one I had, I could opt to feel as little or as much as I wanted, and my legs worked fine and felt normal throughout the time before the OBs turned up!

I couldn''t get up and move around at all - but that was because my contractions were all over the place and I wasn''t progressing so they wanted a continuous monitor on (which is not very usual over here). Otherwise I could have moved around as much as I wanted even with the epi.

The pain is very different from anything you will have experienced before and I don''t think that having a normally high or low pain threshold necessarily indicates how you will cope with labour. My advice to have the epi put in place in advance is that if you decide you do want one once they have pumped you full of pitocin, you could be in for a bad time while you wait for the anaesthetist to arrive and to have it put in place (which doesn''t hurt but you do have to sit very still for 10 minutes plus - not easy with strong contractions).

Pandora I''m late but your birthstory was amazing and harrowing, you are a trooper and Daisy is gorgeous! Sounds like you are transitioning very well to motherhood and Daisy is an easy baby... she sounds a lot like Hunter actually, who has turned out to be one of those angel baby of myth and lore. I hope she continues to treat you well! Come on over to the mom thread if you can, it is a great group and resource.

Mela If you are in labour for almost 2 days before you get the induction like Pandora was, then I think her advice makes perfect sense. But if you are induced when you are "fresh", I am going to give you the opposite advice!
3.gif
I am very glad that I laboured naturally for 5-6 hours before getting the epi. Yup, it was painful and difficult and challenging, but it meant a lot to me to experience labour and so it means a lot to me that I did. In Canada we don''t have walking epis, you are laying down and numb, and so without the epi I was able to stand up at least. I couldn''t walk around because they require an external fetal monitor and an IV when you are induced
14.gif
, but I was able to stand and sit on the bouncy ball and rock and bend over... all things that may have helped things along. In the end it was ridiculously painful, but if they had told me I was 6m dilated or something I would have kept going without the epi. But I wasn''t dilating and I was getting exhausted and the nurse told me I couldn''t sit on my ball anymore because she could measure the HB, so I got the epi. Was fully dilated 2 hours later! I think in my case the epi was required to get fully dilated, because it relaxed the pelvic floor and allowed Hunter to descend (he was malpositioned before), but I also think that all the standing and moving I did in early labour helped re-position him too! Anyways, all this is a long way of saying that I am glad I didn''t get the epi for as long as I did. You and I have similar feelings about natural labour, and so I think you would also want to try going without the epi too if you can.

I also want to say that I feel your pain! I was where you are now a little before my water broke... we were meeting with OBs for consults and learning that Hunter was "Huge" and discussing induction options. I found it all so stressful and upsetting! I held a really strong belief that induction = epi = c-section for me, and that was part of why I found it so upsetting. In the end, induction = epi = normal vaginal delivery. So if you hold that same pre-conception about induction and epis, try to let is go and know that most women, and you, will deliver vaginally and if you are lucky, like I was, you will still feel everything and be in control of the pushing! So even if things don''t go as you plan and hope, you can still have a birth experience that is very close to your dream.

Super-quick early morning (because I can't get comfortable in bed) check-in:

Peony- What a sweet photo! Add me to the list of co-sleeper (mini) AND crib owners. We're planning to co-sleep for as long as we can, but it's nice to know the crib's there, just in case. I like the Graco Lauren crib. If you'd like me to check my copy of Baby Bargains for a review, let me know.

mela- Any news this morning? Losing the MP sounds like a great sign!

qtikiki- Congratulations and welcome back!
9.gif

vizsla- I love (LOVE!) the name Wesley. It doesn't strike me as trendy at all, and I hope it never is.

34 weeks today!

Vis - love Wesley and Wes as a Shortform. I think it's classic without being too popular. Good one!

Nothing to report here. I lost a bunch more MP after the initial gob, and have had very light scant dribbles ever since...but ZERO contractions. Sigh. It's frustrating because I KNOW that it will come, and that my body will eventually co-operate, but the waiting is killing me.

Thanks for the EPI weigh in Dreamer and Pandora. I discussed this with my middie yesterday - and we both agree (phew) that if I am to be induced, I'll go as long as I can naturally before getting on the EPI train. (I have to time it with the Anestesiologist). My middie says that the majority of women induced opt for the Epidural since the ctx are so strong and fast; that there is nothing "natural" about it. She said I can try to go natural if I want to...but that in her opinion, it takes a lot of determination and "work" to go that route. I've always wanted the most natural birth *possible* but I've never been so married to the idea. In fact, DH and I have *pretty much* agreed that if the baby doesn't come on its own before our ultrasound on Sat, then we're going to go into the u/s asking to be induced. At this point, the benefits of "baking" longer are not outweighing the stress of waiting, knowing that my placenta is looking "old and calcified". I mean, at one point, the placenta will stop doing its job, and the baby will not be in the clean (meconium free), oxyginated environment it deserves. ETA: I have another ultrasound booked June 2nd - if I fail - I get induced. If I pass, then they have booked me for a 42 week induction anyways, on June 6th.
So, if for some grace of God I do "pass" the ultrasound this Sat, I will probably ask to be induced anyways; rather than wait a couple more days only to be induced then. That means they will fit me with the inflatable cervix dialator ball and send me home...then I'll go back when I'm 4-5cm dialated and finish up with some good old fashioned Oxytocin (pitocin). In theory, the baby will be born late Sat night or early Sunday morning. 41 weeks. I'm happy with that.
17.gif

Phew. that was long. haha. DH is not going into work today or tomorrow. We figure we'll just walk in the park with the "real" Mela lu and just savour our last 2 baby free days. This whole thing is so bitter-sweet. Bitter in the sense that nothing is "happening" like I thought it would (including my BFF leaving town for 10 days and missing the birth
39.gif
) but SO SWEET that I finally have an end date and can meet my baby!

Mela - congrats on loosing your mucus plug!!! HEHE....so exciting!!!! Hang in there...soon you will have your himer in your arms!

Qtekiki - congrats on your pregnancy!!!!

I know i''m missing a ton of people, but i just did a quick scan...this thread moves so fast and when you don''t check everyday, it''s overwhelming!!

quick update on me, I''m scheduled to be induce June 11th if baby doesn''t come before then! I''m 39 weeks then, and they feel it safe to help baby along and put me out of misery w/ the pain. So i''m happy w/ that. 2 more weeks to go!!!!

Mela- Glad you have some options and an end date in sight!
36.gif
You never know, Himer could come on out on it''s own anyways. I really like your thoughts/approach to labor, I have been thinking a lot about it since my labor class. May do a post on it later, but I think your head is in the right place.

Courtney- LOVE the pics of you and Alila you posted on the mommy thread! I was going to tell you that the baby foot/bling shot is screaming to be an avatar, but I see you already thought of that!
2.gif
Did you like your photographer?

IndyPitty- I found bedding I liked but wasn''t sure about for a very similar price and just went ahead and bought it. Figured for $70 I can either keep it or sell it if I don''t like it. It''s growing on me and I think I will love it once my nursery is actually put together. I say go for it.

Vizla- Nice to see you! Yay for 19 weeks. Are you guys going to find out what you''re having? I don''t think Wesley is trendy at all, and Wes is such a cute nn. Reminds me of The Princess Bride, which is one of my all-time fave movies. And DH''s too, now that I think about it. Hmmm. As for love handles, well, I just think everyone gets something they hate when preggo. Do what I do, just don''t turn around and look at the back view! It will probably even out a lot when you show more.

Mela, awesome news on the mucous plug. Never thought I''d say that. Interesting.

So I''m 14w4d and I''m more nauseous than I was weeks ago. So not fair.

Good morning all! Anyone else have their leg/side asleep when they wake up? I don''t know if it''s because I''m such a deep sleeper that I don''t move, but a lot of the times I wake up and my thigh or leg is asleep. Very uncomfortable. My doc said it''s not a big deal, though.

The Princess Bride, which is one of my all-time fave movies. And DH's too, now that I think about it.

CHINA. We are bizzaro twins. I'm not kidding. I LOVE THE PRINCESS BRIDE TOO. My Dad and I developed a love for it years ago, and it's ALWAYS something we love to quote and reference. The whole iocaine powder scene? ...and "never go up against a sicilian when DEATH is on the line". hahaha. I can do a pretty mean impersonation of Vizzini's speach impediment. haha.
Also, wasn't Robin Wright just such a vision in that movie. urgh. Like a real princess (back then).
Love that movie!

k, that's all.

ETA: Amber, I used to get that too. Mine went away...but yes, I am a deep sleeper and had the same problem. Ps. I still am a deep sleeper, even this late in the pregnancy. I'm an anomoly (sp?).

Mela- Well, if we are bizarro twins, then please have a quick and easy pain-free birth, thanks!

I know, it's such a great movie- entertaining but clever. I keep meaning to read the book. RWP was so breath-taking. Hmm, maybe DH and I will watch that this weekend.

Amber- Look on the bright side, you are still sleeping!!! I am too (and of course Mela), but most preggos have a hard time getting any sleep. I haven't had the falling asleep thing, but I do wake up with crazy hip/butt pain from staying on one side too long. As soon as I move or turn over, it goes away though.

I almost fell down the stairs today.

What is it with me and falling? I know everyone says your center of gravity is off, but I actually don't think that's it. I can still do all my balance stuff in pilates, but I am just not paying enough attention I guess. I think I tripped on the hem of my pants, with a full cup of hot coffee in my hands. I stumbled, but managed not to fall all the way down. So scary. First I fall on my hard kitchen floor with a freaking knife in my hands, now stairs with a cup of coffee. I think I need to walk around with bumper pads or something. Or maybe one of those little inner tube outfits little kids wear when they swim.

So I have been so tired this week. I emailed my DH yesterday as I was leaving work that I was planning on going to the grocery store after work, but I was just too exhausted. His response" "Why are you so tired all the time?" I was thinking, ummm, besides the fact that I am freaking over 7 months pregnant, just started a new job, and am packing up our house to move? He so doesn't get the tired thing. I talked to him about it, and he was offended that I thought he wasn't being sensitive, b/c apparently he was trying to find out if there was some OTHER reason I could be so tired, like b/c of the anemia and wanted to make sure I was taking my iron pills. Even so, I just don't think men or other people can understand the tired thing. It's not like a normal tired, it's bone-draining, achy, I feel like I"ve just been hit by a bus and then run over by a bike kinda tired. Anyways, his response made me laugh.

Thanks, China! Yup, I just knew that had to become my avatar.

Princess Bride is also one of my favorites! Anybody wanna peanut?

On the epi/induced subject, I was not in labor prior to being induced and those contractions hit me HARD. The IV drug they gave me didn''t do much at all, so I wish I had just gone straight for the epi. I felt really guilty about wanting it so early UNTIL I found out how fast I was progressing. It wasn''t my low tolerance for pain. I was in major labor!

Yay Mela! Any update? Hope you''ll be holding your baby soon!

Amber- I wake up with numb leg, too. And now, a lower back ache at around 6:00 am every morning.

China- Being a bit more 'clumsy' during pregnancy is normal, I think. If it makes you feel any better, a week or so ago I was getting into bed and I stumbled backward and fell flat on my side. I have a huge bruise on my hip from that graceful move.

Add me to the list of those who LOVE The Princess Bride! I was going to mention it when I gushed over Wesley, but didn't want to take the chance in case vizsla hated the movie, or something. I mean, c'mon- Cary Elwes was SMOKIN' hot.

Exactly. Middie says its like going from ZERO to HERO in a matter of a couple hours. That is crazy fast. I''m listening to the advice I''m being given (over and over).

Now....if I was to go into labour on my own....well, that''s a totally different story
