Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

lulu~ OMG, forgetting your bra is one stage past normal mommy brain! Glad you had a back up at your desk. Hope you''re not wearing a white shirt btw!

I am just popping in here because I have to gush. MIL and FIL bought us the Boon Flair :) swoon!!!!!! Now I will just have a giant box sitting in my apartment. I might set it up just so I can look at how pretty it is!

Charger, have fun in San Diego! I''ve only been there once but it''s one of my favorite places!
30.gif

Shiny, I''m so happy that things are going so well for you! Shame on that mom for not even correcting her child for bonking you in the belly!

Lovelylulu, I''ve totally had the pregnancy brain. The other day, I was trying to figure out how many weeks pregnant I''ll be when I have this client visit that''s scheduled for the end of June. I was counting the weeks in my head and using 8 days instead of 7. Whoops!

Alli, congrats on the Boon! Baby stuff is so fun and cute. We just got our high chair too. We chose the Graco Blossom 4-in-1. My brother has that for my nephew and we were swooning over it so they bought it for us.

As for me - I had hours of BH contractions again last night.
39.gif
I really don''t like them because they scare the crap out of me. I called the doc this morning and they said to rest for the next hour or so and see if I can get 10 kicks which I was able to get pretty quickly. The doc said I need to be drinking way more water than I am. She said at least 64 ounces a day - more if I exercise. That''s really hard considering I currently drink about 40 ounces and have to pee like every 45 minutes! If it''ll prevent more BH contrax though, I''m all over it. So, I, puppmom, do hereby swear to drink 64 ounces of water EVERY day.

Lulu--ha! Glad you had a back up bright pink bra
3.gif
I don''t think i can top that. But i do know that bras come off asap once i get home. They are damn uncomfy by the end of the day so i can see your subconcious reluctance to wear one!
No strong inklings on gender for me. Due to the big differences this pregnancy (bad MS, no belly line, carrying differently) i am leaning girl, but I thought my son was a girl so that shows how great my mommy intuition is
5.gif

Puppmom--hope those BH stay away! I have heard that the extra water helps.

Alli--niiiice prezzie! set up that Boon!

......
My midwife called yesterday to say the recent blood work they ordered came up showing really low iron. This combined with highish blood pressure & measuring small (still around 4-5 weeks behind, tho i feel really huge!!!) means i''ll probably go in for a scan this week. I think i am just run down due to a crazy life of toddler, house building/moving/work, but good to be proactive & check things out and get a better iron supplement.
My body is feeling d.o.n.e. My back has given up and i don''t think i can make it to the gym anymore so i am just going to surrender! On a positive note, i think my son is warming up to the baby idea. He kissed my belly goodnight last night
30.gif
and is really interested in looking at the pregnancy and newborn photos in one of my prenatal prep books. Here''s hoping he''s a happy big bro!!!

YAY Jaz, that''s great (re the little man, not the other stuff). Do any of you newer ladies have your linea negra yet? I don''t have one at all and I don''t think my belly button is going to pop either. It''s still super deep.

No pic today SORRY! Bad Hudson, BAD!

So I scored a swivel glider on CL yesterday for $60! It''s in good shape, was only used for less than a year. Then the couple cat-sat and the cat clawed it a bit. But it''s in the back and well, my cats like upholstered furniture too so it was a win/win. Non-smoking/no pet house, can''t lose! We do still have to get the ottoman though, which will be about $130 alone and I want to try to find or have slip covers made which could be another $100. But still, a $450 chair for $60??? So we''d spend about $300 for the set with a slip cover in the end.

This was the last item of must have furniture for the nursery. I still want to get a book case and end table for next to the chair, but that can come later. I think we''re going to try to get everything set up this weekend.

HH--you might not get one at all. I have no linea negra this pregnancy (but an obvious & pretty dark one last time) and my belly button totally popped this time (but didn''t pop last pregnancy!).

Lulu- Thanks for the laugh lady, I needed it today. Can''t believe you forgot your bra, that is cracking me up!!!!

Trying again!

glad to be a needed source of amusement

fortunately, I'm sporting a black top today . . . shiny - you are right, this is BEYOND pregnancy brain, but I blame this most embarassing mishap on my belly. It's gotten to the point where I am running out of office-appropriate shirts/outfits so this morning, like every other one this week I've done the just-out-of-the-shower try this thing on and see if it appropriately covers my entire bump. oh it doesn't. try something else. nope that's not going to work either. I finally found something that passed and plum forgot that I'd skipped the *foundation*

bellies.

allie - love your outfit btw!

lulu~ I completely understand trying to cover the bump. I only have 3 mat shirts. Everything else is my regular clothes, but the longer ones. The length seems to be shrinking...

pupp~ I have gotten tons of BH since I was early in my 2nd tri. Now I''ve gone on to actual contractions daily. I have to sit down, put my feet up and relax for at least an hour before they go away. I hope yours stay with just BH! But I know how uncomfortable they can be.

jas~ Hope your scan goes well!!

HH~ Yay for getting the nursery done!

I have no linea negra this time either, not even an indication that one might arrive. With JT, it was very dark and I remember after I had him it kind of peeled/flaked off like a bad sunburn. I guess it was just the normal cell turn over, but when it was so much darker than my other skin it was very noticeable.

Happy BPF ladies!!!

Here''s last weeks picture-the holy s*it I''m pregnant pic (please excuse my dirty mirror!)

HH 21.5 weeks.JPG

And here''s this week''s picture-22.5 weeks. My god is it going by fast!

HH 22.5 weeks.JPG

Cute pics, HH!

HH, I definitely see a difference between those two pics. Maybe it''s just the slacks v. the dress but I see the belly more in the second. You look fantastic! Oh, and I can''t wait to see nursery pics. We''ve sort of stalled out in the nursery. I have to hang pictures which I HATE doing.

Allie, cute belly pic. I love the bathroom shots!

Jas, so close! I''m sure it seems surreal.

Nothing new here really. I''ll try to post a pic this weekend. I can''t post them from work and DH has been a slacker in taking the pics from the camera to the PC at home. DHs sister is in town this weekend and I *think* his parents are going to do a big nursery reveal while we''re all visiting- good thing someone is done their nursery!

UGH- PS just ate my nice, long reply
11.gif

This ones gonna have to be much more brief..... sorry

LULU- awesome prego brain.. I have to write "to do" lists daily or I forget what I was "supposed" to do

Allie- YAY for the HC, get that baby out of the box - I think thats why I got our nursery done so soon.. I had everything bought and wanted to look at it!

Shiny- Seriously.. A baseball bat... !!! I woulda lost it!
29.gif

Jas- good luck on the scan, enough factors to need it for the piece of mind at this point. I''ve been fighting the "borderline anemic" for a while and gave up on the iron supplements at this point (I do NOT like being constipated... haha) Prenatals and diet are my method now and unless it gets worse than "borderline", I''m not fighting it anymore..
40.gif
Good to hear your son is starting to get on board with having a sibling, our DD has been pretty pumped since we took her to the ultrasound at 20 weeks. As for the working out,,... I''m with you, I gave up 2 weeks ago - my back couldnt handle anymore.

HH- Love the belly! No Linea Nega for me this time. I had a pretty dark one with our DD though. Belly button popped both times, really early this time - the little monster gave me my first prego stretch mark last week.... right at the belly button I see a 1/4" "mark"..
38.gif
If only the button coulda held out for a few more weeks, maybe it wouldnt be so "used up" haha - Great score on the Rocker!

As for me, I have had enough of being prego this time around and am glad to be nearing the end.
35.gif
Progress is moving along well as last weeks appt. I was 1 cm dialated, he was -2 and 60%effaced (cervix was pretty high though yet)... This weeks appt. 2 cm dialated, he was -1 and 65%effaced (cervix moved way down though) and the latest was last night losing the plug. BH are crazy all the time (worse at night) and he is soooo low it feels like hes gonna stick a arm out!

Gonna contribute a few pics this week.. hope no one minds
1.gif
- as long as PS doesnt eat em... gonna post them separate just in case.

Thank you HH - She was yelling at him in the last pic to "COME OUT BABY BROTHER!!"

SoExcited, your little gal is adorable! I remember when DD LOVED to wear that type of jewelry. So cute.

What darling pics, SoExcited! Your little girl is a cutie.

Here''s my 35-week pic- not the greatest! I''m wearing a non-preggo shirt, and it''s too short in the front.

So Excited, those photos are great!! Your daughter is absolutely adorable!

Soexcited--those are great pics! So fun! You have such a basket-ball belly. Round and cute! & your daughter is a doll!
I got my iron supp. yesterday and I also made lean burgers in a cast-iron skillet last night (apparently cooking with cast iron ''beefs'' up the iron content in food--cool!). I am not a vitamin girl. I think that stuff should come from diet, but since i am very low i am going to pop the darn pills. Otherwise i''d take your approach. Apparently it is common for women who get preggo less than 2 years appart to have low iron reserves so i fit that bill.

Charger--you look small for 35 weeks!!

No 37 week pic for me. I feel like i am a water blimp at this point.
14.gif
ugh. But i should take some. I like to look back at my pics from last pregnancy and marvel at just how big i got in the final weeks!
3.gif

Anyone have remedies for sciatic pain (or at least i think that''s what iam having) my left hip, around the bum/hip area & downward is crippling me. I honestly could *barely* walk last night. brutal. lifting and putting weight on that leg is painful!

Lovely - LOL! How lucky are you that you had that sports bra in desk! As for the hot pink color...hey, if it works, it works right?
3.gif

Jas - I can't believe you are 37 weeks with your 2nd pregnancy - seems like it was just yesterday when you returned from your honeymoon and found out you preggo with your first!

So, I'm just plugging along...the past two weeks I've been feeling the flutters that I've been waiting for and know that it's my babies move'n and a shake'n down there...I absolutely love it!
30.gif

I've started feeling uncomfortable sleeping last week so, DH insisted I bet the snoogle. I figured a king size pillow would do the trick, but the snoogle is awesome! Also, I've noticed that my heart is racing more and I've had shortness of breath more often when I'm more "active" around our apartment or during the day.

Finally, I know this might be TMI, but I've noticed the past couple of days that I would have a globby discharge sometimes when I wipe- sometimes clear, but sometimes yellow. I was reading on the internet that it's normal, but I also have a call into my doctor just to double check. Did anyone else have this? Geez...the things they don't tell you about in health class!
20.gif

All these bellies have inspired me to post mine - you all look fantastic! Soexcited, the ones with you and your daughter are simply precious! Here I am at 18w1d!

18 Weeks - BB2 copy2.gif

look at that cute belly, BB!! And too cool that you are feeling flutters. I have an anterior placenta and didn''t feel much until about 23-24 weeks. Now, it''s full-on "ninja" kicks, but I have yet to see actual body parts. Re: the snoogle- LOVE IT! got one at 20 weeks and it''s saved my back, although DH hates it (calls it the "sexy time killer" since he says it''s like a barrier in our bed). And lastly, the discharge is totally normal- I noticed it increased the further along I got.

Jas- I hear that a lot "you''re so small" (first time in my life I''ve ever gotten those comments) Although having GD sucks, it''s like a blessing in disguise as it forces me to really watch what I eat. pre-preggo, i''d gain weight just from looking at carbs, so now that I have to limit them it''s helped keep the preggo weight off. I''m up about 15lbs, and it''s ALL BELLY. re: sciatic pain, I keep a towel in my office and get down on my hands/knees every so often to stretch- it helps!

oh yes, forgot to mention that we close escrow next week! It''s been a packing frenzy at home, hence all the boxes/bubble wrap in my belly pic. There''s not much that needs to be done to the new house, just some painting and baseboard/crown molding work. We hope to move in on the 1st friday in June, 3 weeks before my due date. I hope that bebe stays put until at least mid-June.
12.gif

blushing, ADORABLE belly! I can''t believe you have twins in there--you look fantastic!
