Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

LULU!!! checking in to see if there's any news. I hope you're holding your LO right now.

Jas- Sending lots of good vibes your way. Me thinks that your kiddos love mommy's belly so much that they just want to hang out in there as long as possible!

Allie- My experience is that my feelings have certainly intensified the longer I've carried bebe. But those "firsts" were so exciting! I have an anterior placenta and didn't feel anything until 24 weeks (well, maybe flutters before then). I clearly remember the first time I KNEW it was bebe. I was all mush! Enjoy these precious moments.

quick update- spent all weekend at the new house, just getting as much done as possible. I'm still somewhat mobile, just moving v. slowly and have felt some contrax (or maybe really strong BH?) I'm beat, but have insomnia (it's 4:15 in CA) AND I'm hungry. Just have so much going through my mind right now... I'm going to be a Mama this week!

Here's one last pic from me (38wks,3days). I'm in our new backyard. Can't wait to spend time here with bebe.

Ditto CG on the anterior placenta. I''ve got one too (they''re very common). I feel Aidan''s movements in certain areas of my belly, but nothing in others. And usually they''re just taps and bumps, not really the painful kicks people talk about. And he''s definitely NOT a snake child, or not that I can feel right now.

Lulu- yeaa good luck and wish you all the best

CG & HH- I have an anterior placenta too and thritto on feeling movement late and not as intense- my whole belly will move and all I will feel is a little bump- I would really like my LO to jab me in the rib every once in a while just so I can feel the intensity like everyone else does...haha

Jas, I was CERTAIN you had given birth...sheesh! Well, it has to be soon, right?
3.gif

Allie, of course you''re normal! I''ve loved my man since conception but I must say that finding out the gender really took it to another level.

Charger, it must be crazy to know exactly when you''ll be a mama! Oh, and what a GORGEOUS back yard! I''m super excited about your birth because the gender and name will be a surprise. I love surprises!

Not much new here...still contracting here and there and sometimes they get consistent enough that they scare me a bit. I''ve got a pretty good system down for slowing them down though - LOTS of water (like 32ounces in 20 minutes) and lying down. The lying down part can be difficult after drinking all of that water! DH decided he wants to take a childcare class so that''s scheduled for the 23rd of June then breastfeeding class is on July 14 - I hope I didn''t push that one too close! DH was supposed to install shelving yesterday - pretty easy pre-fab closet maid stuff. I went out and came back a few hours later to a very PROUD DH so of course I thought the shelves were in - nope! He loaded Nolan''s MP3 player with a bunch of music. He said he needed to do something he knew he was good at to build his confidence first.

Shelves are still sitting on the nursery floor...

LOL Pupp, that sounds like my DH! I literally had to corner him on Saturday and say "get out your drill and ladder, I need you to hang stuff up for me" and then of course the drill battery needed to be charged, etc etc etc. We finally got the stuff hung up though. I hate not being able to do this stuff myself. I''m pretty handy and oh so manic these days when it comes to cleaning, building and decorating. I hate having to ask for help. Speaking of mania, are any of you in full nesting mode yet? I''m just barely 26 weeks and I think I''m going full force. I''ve finally got energy and sometimes I just can''t sit down. I just buzz around the house cleaning, organizing and doing other little things. For example, I decided I needed to caulk the bath tub and make throw pillows last night. And that''s in addition to the other work I did around the house, cleaning, hanging up art, laundry, refinishing a night stand and dresser, etc. I think Martha Stewart has taken over my body...

Just wondering how you ladies handle the ''hunger''. I don''t mean cravings, but just being hungry. I''m stuck somewhere between knowing that I need to eat extra to accomodate the beast within, but have gotten an eyebrow raise at my last appointment for my weight gain (6 lbs to date, didn''t think that was horrible, but...) Obviously snacking throughout the day helps, but it seems like the hunger is more than what I should take in in a day!! What''s the right answer??

Lulu.... congratulations! Those are pretty much the cutest little feet I''ve ever seen

What a precious little girl. So happy for you!

split-shank- I don''t think 6 lbs is unreasonable for 16 weeks?? Hmm. Anyway, I''d maybe focus on eating foods that will help you stay full longer and thus not feel so hungry. Lots of fiber, fruits, veggies. Fat and protein slow emptying from your stomach, while carbs are processed much more quickly.

And over here........ a couple days past 15 weeks, and still nauseous!

So much for the first trimester. Oh well. It''s mostly manageable and much improved from earlier during the first tri. I didn''t think I would be so antsy, but the anticipation of finding out the sex is killing me! In my head, it will help me assign more of a personality to the babe. There have been a couple of BOY dreams, but in one of them, my hubby was not the baby daddy

so who knows what that means. Sadly my anatomy scan has not even been scheduled yet because they still don''t have my call schedule for July which is ridiculously annoying.

Congrats LULU
