Hey Dream! Glad to see you back on the boards again!

Our Tiffany LIW discussion thread is locked so I decided to post to you directly!

Been thinkin about getting a Tiffany key for my birthday in Dec. Won''t be able to actually make it to Tiffany''s until we go to their private shopping party in the beginning of Dec.

I like this one: http://www.tiffany.com/Shopping/Item.aspx?fromGrid=1&sku=GRP03000&mcat=148210&cid=287465&search_params=s+5-p+2-c+287465-r+101323351-x+-n+6-ri+-ni+0-t+
because it is smaller and looks more subtle...

But I also like this one: http://www.tiffany.com/Shopping/Item.aspx?fromGrid=1&sku=GRP02547&mcat=148210&cid=287465&search_params=s+5-p+8-c+287465-r+101323351-x+-n+6-ri+-ni+0-t+

I also like the yellow gold quatrefoil key: http://www.tiffany.com/Shopping/Item.aspx?fromGrid=1&sku=GRP02506&mcat=148210&cid=287465&search_params=s+5-p+1-c+287465-r+101323351-x+-n+6-ri+-ni+0-t+

Part of me feels like the keys may look a bit trendy so I kind of want something classic. Like these: http://www.tiffany.com/Shopping/Item.aspx?fromGrid=1&sku=21250716&mcat=148210&cid=287464&search_params=s+5-p+19-c+287464-r+101323351-x+-n+6-ri+-ni+0-t+
I could definitely wear the earrings to my wedding next year!
Just wondering if you''ve seen any of the keys in person?

Hey there! I saw your post in another thread too. Long time no see!

Anytime you want to unlock the thread, just message the admins and they will unlock it for us.

Anyhow, I myself also think the keys are a bit trendy. However, they are very nice and if you like trendy, I'd get one. But because you have such a **lucky** large budget, I'd go with the Circlet earrings anyday over a key necklace. They are far more classic and yes, you can wear them to your wedding!!!!!!!!! Otherwise, I like the first key the best out of what you have shown me.

Now, what's this private shopping party in the beginning of December all about and why haven't I been invited yet?

lol

S and I were actually at Tiffany's 2 weekends ago. My silver SA came up to me and was chatting me up about travel and what not. It was hilarious because I was looking at the ornaments when I hear......"Oh HEY Dreamgirl!" I turned around and it was him. I couldn't help but laugh because they know me in there and its not like I go THAT often. Anyway, we were about to leave when we looked at some rings again! Our other friendly SA who sells diamonds was so happy to see us. (She's such a lovely lady) We wanted to see the baguette setting but they didn't have one in. (Maybe next time?)
31.gif
I tried on 2 Tiffany Settings. One was 1.31 and the other one was 1.03. We both agree that 1.31 was too large for my taste. It was a lovely time but we didn't spend too long in there as we apparently closed the store. Too bad FF STILL doesn't have a job.

Thanks for the input Dream! FI said the earrings were fine but I''ll have to wait until early next year if that''s what I want. We are booking honeymoon things right now so funds are depleting fast! I like the keys but I do think I will get tired of them. Plus I love the idea of being able to wear the earrings to my wedding!

I don''t know what the party is exactly, but we got an invitation in the mail (VERY pretty! I saved it). The invite says it''s a private shopping party where they will have cocktails (I guess they want us nice and loose with our checkbooks!) and the store will be open after hours (which is great for us since their new closing time is when FI and I are still at work). We have to RSVP to the manager. There is also free engraving and free shipping to wherever we want to send things.

Wow, so excited for you getting to try on rings again! I think the Tiffany setting looks so fab in all sizes! Are you hoping for a 1 ct?
So sorry that FF doesn''t have a job yet.
7.gif
I''m sure something great will come along for him very soon!

I''ve been wondering where Tiffanys is at around here, is there one downtown? I need an excuse to be in that area so I can go in "just to look around" and then to just "buy a little something" lol

Oh wow sounds like fun! Where do you plan on going for the honeymoon?

I agree with you on the keys. It isn''t really a classic look whereas the earrings are definitely classic so you can''t go wrong!

Now that I think of it, I''ve gotten an invite like that before probably last year. It was fancy and came directly from my Denver Tiffany''s. I think I was unable to go (which is why I probably forgot about it.)

My wish is to get around a 1ct diamond. Not sure if I will get that size or not. But I''d really like as close to 1ct as possible. Probably no more than 1.30ct''s (which would never happen anway! And preferably no less than .75ct if I don''t have a choice in the matter.) It''s between the Tiff Setting or the one with baguettes.

I hope he gets something soon too. Otherwise I don''t know what will happen. He needs something very soon or he''s screwed.

Hi LabRat
35.gif
and dream
35.gif
i was a visitor in the tiffs thread and thought id pop in here too if that''s ok!?

I agree, the circlet earrings are timeless, and will ultimately provide more wear i think. The keys are beautiful but they''re trendy
21.gif

and speaking of tiffany''s - have you seen the ''Give Voice to your Heart'' advertisement
30.gif
i know i shouldnt be so swayed by an add but oooh it gets my heart a-flutter
30.gif

Hey Blackpaw!!!
35.gif

YES! I've seen the beautiful video. I've already sent it to S. I've watched it about 8 times now and saved it to my computer. It makes my heart go pitter-patter. I love when this guy proposes in front of Tiffany's with it snowing out. How romantic! However, I wished I had seen him take the ring out and put it on her hand
31.gif

BTW, I can't help but get sentimental when watching the video because did you see the little doggie in the window? I had a miniature schnauzer that looked much like this one......

I had no idea what you gals were talking about as far as the ad goes and then I saw it online. It''s cute.

I saw the part where the video shoes the woman is wearing a nice sized Tiffany solitaire (3 cts? my 2 ct looks like that on my finger). I love this look - solitaire with the knife-edge wedding band! I may get this along with the Novo wedding band. Nice inspiration!

UGH Sorry! That is huge and messed up!

OOOOOO!! I love the idea of the knife edge + Novo wedding band. This is funny to me because just the other night I was thinking about if I get the baguettes setting....well, I want a blingy wedding band like the Legacy but I don't know if it will be too much with the baguettes. So then I was thinking if I get the baguettes, maybe I'd have to get the knife edge wedding band. Then I thought well, get the knife edge, and the Legacy....
31.gif
But who knows. I shouldn't think too much about that until I get closer to a decison with S on if we want the Tiffany Setting or the baguettes. (Or if I end up with something else all together but I don't think so at this time) Then again, it will be a surprise so it will ultimately be up to him as to which engagement ring I get.

I just saw your other thread about your imminent proposal! Congrats, DG!

Do you think your FF has been secretly saving up for your ring? It''s amazing how boys can be so tricky! I was floored when FI told me how much our ring budget was! Never would have imagined it!

Not sure if you heard, DG, but our SA told us there may be a price increase after the holidays on diamond rings. We may get our wedding bands sooner than later if this happens! I think I prefer the Novo over the Legacy band. I would be sad if the milgrain wore off over time...

Thanks LabRat!

He''s always saving money. But I don''t think he''s currently saving for a ring (unless I don''t know about it) I''m sure he will save up after he gets a new job. That''s my guess anyway ???

I actually emailed my SA because I went into freakout mode when I read your post
32.gif
She told me she didn''t know anything about it and asked the manager. The manager said that is just a rumor and that is not happening. However, next to the pricing on the website it now says "*Subject to availability" I think this means that they may be producing less quantities of engagement rings so they may cost more than the starting price listed on the website.

In my experience, the prices listed on the website were always much lower than what we were told in my size range. Granted we were looking for G-H in color, but we did ask about I, VS2 out of curiosity and the prices were still higher than what was advertised on the website. Not sure where they came up with the prices on the website before.
33.gif
I guess it''s good that they added a bit of a disclaimer that few rings are actually anywhere close to their suggested price. I always found it a bit misleading!
My SA didn''t guarantee a price increase but he did bring it up as a possibility. he has been with the company for quite a while, so I trust his knowledge and am keeping my ears open for any other word. We would like to get our wedding bands before any increase.
I highly believe that I will be getting something from Tiffany for my birthday/Christmas. On Friday, FI and I went to Tiffany to check out diamond earrings. I wanted the more elaborate ones I posted earlier for my wedding but FI wants to get me something more appropriate for every day. It''s probably going to be diamond studs or hoops. I tried on some gorgeous things! I won''t object to either option!
