I remember seeing the proof of us photobook and thinking WOW! What site did you use? Was it digilab? What did you think of the print quality? Thanks in advance!

Does anyone else recommend any sites?

I found this thread where she states that her album was purchased through mpix.com and said it cost about $70 with overnight shipping.

Do you want to know the weirdest thing? I don''t come on BWW often, but I was just doing my usual lurking on the other sections and I just thought maybe I should check in on BWW. And then I thought "you never know someone could be paging me there for some reason..." Ha! I''m never paged!

Okay now I need to go back and read the question, just too freaky!

Okay now I need to go back and see what was in my other thread, but yes I used Mpix and it was super cheap compared to what photographers offer. The neat thing is that a lot of photographers actually order with them, so you can really save a lot for the same product.

I made most of my layouts with photoshop, which can be quite a bit of work, but that''s how the pro photographers do it. You can also use their software, which is pretty customizeable too. Oh and as long as you are somewhat savvy with photoshop, you can always copy ideas you find online so you don''t have to be super creative.

As for the quality of our book. I thought it was good. I did a photo cover and it came out a little plastic feeling (glossy) and there were a few air bubbles on the spine of the book. Our parents'' book (we had the smaller ones made for them) were just a plain black leather (faux I think) and I actually think they came out classier looking. But I still think it was cool to use a wrap-around beach picture for our cover so I am fine with it.

Some of the pages that I used Mpix software to make the background picture darker or lighter came out looking a little grainy so I would try and avoid that if you can.

Other than those two things, I was really satisfied.
